oralb Posted March 2, 2007 Report Share Posted March 2, 2007 unfortunately, the ans is nearly impossible to completely preventoh there is actually one way, that's to only allow emails from your contact list, and since you wont list spammers, all other emails will be inside your bulk mail. BUT that meant no-one else can send you anything, including the cute guy you gave your email last night... in the 1st generation of spam blocker, any email that's cc or bcc list will be automatically send to bulk mail.however spam technology evolves to mail merge where all email address is automatically be in the To: column.hence spam blocker moved to key words blocking, for example if you constant get spam to buy Viagra, you can block all mails that has the word Viagra.spammers aren`t stupid either, so they come up with wording like \/iagra (the v is make up of \ and /) to counter spam blocker key word blocking, and the variations are many v|agra etcOralb brief history on Spam Quote When I Think It, I Do It, I Win It! Some times I just got too many spammers, if I don't clear it within 2-3 days, the Postmaster would send me a warning email saying my mailbox almost full, very frust ... leh. oralb Posted March 2, 2007 Report Share Posted March 2, 2007 i think your mail quota take into account your bulk mail size as well. spam blocker moved the spams to bulk so that you can check and ensure that the emails are all spamOne way is to direct the traffic str8 to delete. of coz there could be a chance that deleted official emails. so ask youself, do you look through the bulk folder to identify whether is it spam or str8 away empty the whole bulk. Do not put your email online, e.g. blog, newsgroup, forums, etc. If you have to put it, use something like "Myemail(a)hotmail_dot_com".3. Have a good spam blocking program or a Internet security program.4. Do not reply to spam to ask them the remove you from the list. 5.
