Guest why stomach bloated

I have consulted my family doctor and even specialist on stomach problem. They had advised me the followings for stomach bloated issue:

1) try to eat small meals;

2) try to eat slowly and dun talk while eating;

3) try to avoid beans, milk, curry, gassy drinks, beers etc that produces gases in the stomach;

4) try to avoid fatty foods;

But i have followed the above instructions and taken their medicines and yet my stomach is still bloated. That is, my stomach is still full of gas and it looks like i am more than 6 months pregnant.

I have event tried to do crunches etc but to no avail.

Anyone can help me please...

hmm, what medicine have they gave you? and typically, what do you eat for your meals? any in-between snacks etc?

For your bloating issue, do you only feel it 1hr or so after eating, or it's a continuous thing? anything you ate that makes it feel worse, or lessen?

Try taking lots of onions, it will help you to FART OUT all that toxin gas inside. But you'll have to make sure that the whole house is empty as otherwise you will stink everyone to faint...

we could be suffering from chronic indigestion or even hiatal hernia whereby the spincster cannot close properly thus choking the upper gastro, giving a full bloated feeling.

i was diagnosed with the latter condition by a specialist but i also suspect IBS plays a role too.

nothing we can do about it...ginger tea, charcoal pills cant help except to eat smaller meals and taking domperidone or librax for me.

A well formulated probiotic supplement may help.

Avoid foods high in fibre (for eg breakfast cereals, whole wheat products, brown rice, vegetables)

Eat fruits before not after meals.

The best foods for good bowel movements r saturated n monounsaturated fats like coconut milk/oil, butter n ghee n some olive oil. Add them to ur meals.

Avoid all other commercial cooking vegetable oils as they r highly inflammatory n pro aging.

Yup me too... my stomach is so bloated it presses against the diaphragm... feel like burping but feels like sth is blocking it. Dont know if it is "hiatal hernia" :wacko:

go for endoscope to find out. my doc said food cant go in well to my stomach causing the choked feeling in the middle. i feel ok when my tummy is clear in the morning but the feeling will be back once i start eating....very sian.

before i realised my condition, i actually suffered a panic attack once cos i was feeling so breathless and bloated n dunno whats wrong w me.

well... possible causes:

1. lack of stomach acid /+ digestive enzymes

2. consumption of food such as dairy products,or/and cruciferous vegetables eg cabbage,or/and beans

3. aerophagia

4. non-ulcer dyspepsia

5. IBS(may be caused by candidiasis, dybiosis, etc)

6.stress, chronic fatigue

and well, the list goes on and on

basically, get a comprehensive digestive stool analysis(CDSA) done.can always see a specialist and tell them your problem, and what test can you possibly do that'll aid him/her in proper diagnosing of your condition.

meanwhile, do try to avoid stuff stated in point number 2, try not to talk while you eat, eat smaller portion but more meals then.too much to type and too less time. anyway, good luck out there yeah!:)

"The best foods for good bowel movements r saturated n monounsaturated fats like coconut milk/oil, butter n ghee n some olive oil. Add them to ur meals. "

and btw, for the above statement, palm oils/coconut oils, butter, ghee, are oils better suited for deep frying than sunflower oils,etc, since they are mainly saturated fats, so their states are pretty stable.whatever benefits you might reap from some kind of saturated fats there are, however,to simplify, saturated fats should be minimized as they increase the LDL(bad) and lower the HDL(good).

so in a nutshell, if you want to deep fry stuff, you can consider palm oils and such.

Stir frying, monounsaturated fats such as olive oil.but no matter what, you'll still need your omega-3, since your body cannot manufacture it, and it's 1 of the vital nutrient, like essential vitamins, minerals.

always ask your friends who's studying the related areas, or do some read up from reliable sources, do not blindly follow any of the gossips you heard! Your health is in your own hands !!!

GL!

I usually get pills from a TCM @ Raffles Place MRT station, it is hidden at a corner so walk around to look for it. Besides a kopi tiam. it works really well. I brought it with me during my recent trip to visit Phil ^^

Hi Steelwings, your pills must be very efficient.

You looked in perfect shape here! Maybe also because you walked a lot?

pls treat this seriously.

Avoid eating b4 9pm.

I suspect you r taking a lot of spicy food with chilli, onions , garlic, lemon/lime etc.

If possible stick with simple food - make it very bland , with a little bit of soy sauce(try fish instead of red meat)

Also, there's a link with dental structure, too. food not mastciated properly take longer time to digestion.

Therefore, the indigestion. If missing, pls get it crowned/bridged.
