There wasn't much obvious changes in the gym leaders pokemon that they are using. =.=Oh yeah the pokethlon was fun. I rmb spendibg hours and hours away trying to get those achievements! Frankly, from a design perspective, one of the goals or ways to entice players to buy HG/SS was that it has a lot of different Pokemon to catch. You need to move on because the battle mechanics has changed drastically. I hate how in the 3rd gen, during a double battle when one pokemon has fainted, i have to immediately send out another pokemon, which will then take the brunt of attacks during that turn itself. Lol how to perfect the game when the mechanics itself isn't. Anyway, I finally completed 50 straight win for double battle in the subway challenge for Pokemon White! Yayness! I had Weavile, Terrakion, Cresselia and Zapdos. I think you need quite a few legendaries to even reach 35 straight wins! Now trying to fight through the single battles! I have a male ferrothorn with spikes. If you want i can trade with you. PM me. My fav lead is Togekiss. Paralyse anything faster and air slash it to death. Whatever it can't KO, I'd make sure i weaken with thunder wave or charm so that i can finish off with my sweepers. Togekiss has great defensive stats, but still faster than other pokemon without any speed ev investment. Let me know on the ferrothorn. fizzy Posted June 2, 2012 Report Share Posted June 2, 2012 black and white is not bad. pretty much love the 3d graphics. and of course, the amazing pokemon i used to have a friend who talks about pokemon and calculates their stats etc (well, he ALWAYS win in a pokemon battle using DS) cos he has somewhat memorises the stats and knows whats good and bad against the particular pokemon. so, despite my advantage of weakness, i still lose i find that this gen of pokemon is really erm.. useless with the mix types. why mix the types and create more weaknesses? except for sableye (dark and ghost, therefore no weakness), the rest are just too weak.dunno what u guys think. The dsxl that i have now has better security settings which would eliminate all those problems with ds lite. The great thing is that my phone has internet sharing so i tap from it. Now i can battle and trade online anytimw! Why don't you upgrade to a dsxl or 3ds? Regarding the speed stats, i have always thought that their other stats would compensate for that lack of speed. Therefore, i will build them up defensively, say with 252 hp with a nature boosting their better defence stat. I realize that investing all in atk/satk and speed always results in a OHKO pokemon. I don't use emulator so I won't know, although it might be possible, perhaps a quick Google search might help? Second, Black/White 1 and 2 are DS games, hence their license fee is cheaper and hence the final price is lower than 3DS games.Black/White 2 is the direct sequel, you get new areas, Unova dex contains more than just Unova Pokemon, trainer sprite will animate, and the Pokemon Tournament, where you can fight ALL gym leaders and champions from previous games. merlinkun Posted October 13, 2012 Report Share Posted October 13, 2012 By the way, those with the original copy of the game, there is a Genesect WiFi event until 12 November similar to the Victini in B/W.Also note that if you got Black, it is advisable to get Black 2, cuz in Black you get Reshiram, while in Black 2 you get Zekrom (which belongs to *spoiler*N*spoiler*).So if you have Black and you get White 2, you will end up with 2 Reshiram lolB/W2 have a lot more legendary too - Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Reshiram/Zekrom, Kyurem, Latios (B2), Latias (W2), Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf, Regirock, Registeel (requires Unova Link feature from B2), Regice (requires Unova Link feature from W2), Regigigas (requires all 3 Regi, thus need help from the opposite version), Cresselia, Heatran.Registeel is sorta like a semi-exclusive to B2, but you can trade a special key to unlock it in W2, same for Regice.B/W2 also have a bunch of gift Pokemon like N's Zorua, SHINY Gible or Dratini. Also if you have the original B/W, you can link them with B/W2 to unlock extra battles and content such as being able to catch the rest of N's Pokemon. I like the storyline in BW1, which I consider one of my personal best alongside the original Kanto and Hoenn games. BW2 is only worth the buy if you're interested in playing through what happened to Unova after the events of the first game.BW2 reverted back to the 4th gen era games. Extremely boring and forgettable. Your character in BW1 had a bigger impact on Unova and the world feels so much more involved and alive with all the gym leaders teaming up with you at N's castle. In this new game, nothing really happens until you get all 8 badges and then it's like some rushed job to wrap up the Team Plasma storyline. Gym leaders barely get involved and you're stuck with some lame rival who's runnin around looking for his dead grandpa's stolen cat.It's like your character in BW2 is just doing some clean-up work around Unova, cleanig up the mess made by the epicness of your first game character's adventure. It's kinda like the Johto games where you're just cleanig up remnants of Team Rocket.I had expected a lot more. Good thing is you can trade with your old BW1 right after getting the first badge, so old vets like many of us who have games from Ruby/Sapphire from literally 10 years ago already have a large army of Pokemon on our hands and we can just trade them over (via BW1) to BW2. I came back from Tekong to see my brother having completed the main storyline already, so all I got to play was the metagame and the post game easter eggs, so I can't really say which one has the better story.
