Hi! I need help. It is a case quite difficult to make police report. I am conned by a person for a amount of $300. Though is small, can treat as a fee for lesson learnt. But it is money allow one to survive for number of day if spend thrifty..

I know it is kind of stupid to lend money to a stranger which I knew only for 3 mths from Grindr. At first I was refrain for lending him, but due to the conversation message with him, I was thinking what if really real.

But after this lesson, I had learn not to trust people easily before getting more facts and info.

This person is known as Sky. I have his pic, contact no., account no. and his pic. If anyone have any connection, network or solution. You can pm for the info.

I had tried to contact him, his no. is no more in use.

I will like to thanks everyone in advance.

I am afraid there is nothing you can do. Reason: you handed the money to him. I assume you do not have a written agreement. Even if you do, the police can't do anything. Unless you can proof he swindled cash out of you. And are you easy to out yourself? You can file a magistrate complaint but is that worth the time, effort and money? Don't lend money to anyone incl family members unless u can write off that amount, and never lend money to strangers.

Precisely. Because he said he had dropped his money and he was at oversea, and the card with him only left less than $4.00. I was too soft-hearted to help out, especially he said he will return me the money once he came back.

I'm just considered I'm too silly during that time believe in such words. I'm looking for a way to hunt this person down. And hopefully no one will fall into his trap.

Most importantly don't know how to get him. His number no more in use...

Yes. I agree. I just find that I trust too easy and think too much. I'm still so naive that the person will return. In the end... no...

Don't worry too much. Just treat it as a lesson in life and move on. Money can always be earned back. :-)

I have the similar kind of experience. It was $80.

The amount not as big as yours.

But when I lend the money to him, I already have a strong feeling that I might not get it back.

True enough. After tat, no sound from him.

what's even sadder was that you will lose a "friend" thereafter. That person will be ashamed to face you and will hide his presence, even when you have no intention of getting the money back.

I hv a friend whom I hv known for 10 over years , but still cheated me $3000. He made use of our friendship to cheat the money. I suspect it was likely due to gambling. The last time I heard he was having treatments at IMH owing to many debtors chasing after him., He has also lost his stable job. Anyway , worst still , he got married and hv a son , and still sleep around with men for casual sex. Kana sai , actually I only knew that he was married recently . This person stays at AMK , quite chubby , just be careful of him .

When you decided to lend, you were in love. That's the weakness of gay. I wont be surprised this weakness of yours will hit you again sometime down the road. Such an easy target.

I was once conned by my very close and trusted friend for 7x,xxx dollars! I din have such amount and I was stupid stupid enough to loan from several banks to lend it to my friend! I did not get the money back and I worked my butt's off to pay off these debts. I now feel so good to be debt free and I will never talk to anyone who talks to me about borrowing, even for a dollar. Call me petty but I had a painful experience which nearly put me in serious trouble.

I felt so down to be facing such a huge debt suddenly to be shouldered all by myself. I bite my teeth and work day and night, no holidays, no expensive meals nor clothings for me. I make sure I meet the banks' monthly payment so as to maintain a good credit rating which is very important. After a few years, I managed to clear all the debts and with some excess savings.

My advice to all who were conned, ponder over it, curse and swear at it, but reposition yourself quickly and get back to reality. You are the only one who can help yourself, no one else will lend you money to recover what you have lost!

To -Guest- and -youngfolks-, I do not spend money to buy love or sex. I still not up to that desperate level. Lending money to that guy is due to his words that he drop his money and ATM with money, and he unable to contact his friend as they are having holiday oversea. And I put myself in the position that what if I met in the same situation. So without doubt I lend to him, after all he promise to return me. I do not lend him money because I in love with him or expect to have sex with him when he return money to me.

Yes, I deserved it to lend money to stranger known in cyber world. I hope that the person will be caught and put behind the bar.

It's how funny that you lend this guy money and he doesn't return you and you came to blowingwind complain . Why not reflect on yourself? For being too naive?

Hello people if you lend money on your will it's hard to get help from police.

And since it's your decision to give in first place.

Just be caution on the person u lending and it's up to you and discern on the credibility of that person.

How is posting this topic funny? He already said he tried to contact the guy, and im sure he totally regret being so naive. He posted here hoping anyone knowing the guy can help. If you dont feel sorry for him or help him, you probably should just be quiet. I think saying that doesnt help anything and isnt necessary
