Im staying at Arthur and Paul - highly recommended.  A local guy took me to Asia Cam Bar last night.  
 

Great place. Small bar. Nice mix of locals, some hotties too. And $5 usd for a perfectly made premium vodka. 
 

they have a few hosts too. I took off one cute twink who turned out to be a very dom top. I'm in heaven lol
 

Great evening and worth a visit.

Just came back. yes some guys do wear mask. But locals are generally very proactive. Not like SG walk n walk lol

I recently visited Phnom Penh again. I posted before so this is a short update.

 

I stayed again at Arthur and Pauls and had a great stay. It's peak season now so it's quite expensive by PP standards (US149 per night, compared to US99 6 months ago). The staff are so nice and friendly.

 

Bertrand, one of their masseurs, looked after me well. The on-site sauna/steam room/jacuzzi is a highlight of staying there. Even though I am a bit older, I had a great time with some of the younger locals, including back in my room.

 

I went back to Ah Ram for a massage. Those who are on the Ah Ram Telegram would have seen the masseur photos. My masseur was the one with the red and blue tattoo including heart on his upper chest. I will spare the steamy details but it ended up being "full service" and was amazing. I thought it was very good value too - $US20 for the 60 minute massage and a tip of about $US40.

 

Rambutan is the hotel next door to A&P and I found is a good place to have a meal.

 

Pro tip: bring mosquito repellent. While the air conditioning in the room seems to discourage mosquitoes, there are plenty in the common areas.

If you have not been to Siem Reap, I strongly encourage you spend a day or 2 at the Mens Resort in Siem Reap. This place is much cheaper than A&P, and the environment is much better, IMO. Time to stay during the weekends, where guys who come for the sauna are more. I absolutely recommend Mens Resort. 

 

A&P's rate is simply too high. not worth the price.

Thanks Mickey, yes I stayed there in 2023. It was very good. One minor issue was the jacuzzi wasn't working when I was there. I also like PP for the broader range of massage options.

 

If you do stay at Men's Resort, have them organise a guide and driver to show you the Angkor Wat site. I did a one day tour - just me, the guide and driver. It was very good value.

I wouldn't call it locked, there's just a sign saying hotel guests only past that point. I was able to invite people back to my room without issue. I think they have the right balance, as it allows the guest area to be quiet, and guests only need go down one level to mix with sauna patrons.

The times I have stayed there it gets busier later. And a younger crowd later on. What day of the week were you there? In my experience the weekends get busier earlier. Most days before 5pm were very quiet.

 

Did you try any other massage places?

Conclusion of my SE Asia World Tour:

Finally!!! it Ended 

the saunas in these places they are all the same type maybe just like Maxwell onsen (bkk) or the likes....
but at least bkk tell u straight they are Onsen, not gay saunas

 

they are diff from Countries* like Singapore , HK and Jp or even Bkk (never been to Msia's) 
cos in the mentioned countries*, they provide more beds/mat/rooms (based on the area size )  etc @ their gay saunas , especially Japan!! with high-blasting air-con somemore 


in a normal daily setting, we Sporeans  and msians /locals all wear nothing thick in office and daily life, no jackets no sweaters at all (unless you worked in certain industries like banking or in ultra-high positions, nowadays , all the Gen Zs w millenials are all in Tees in our office building, isn't it? and they sweat early in the morning inside the lift ) 
i even dress double when i go out for Lunch, i brought my jacket when goin to Sg malls too (so cold) 
that means MOST  local pp here are afraid of heat , get it ?

So it s not as useful to provide hot stuff  like : Sauna rm/steam rm /what benefit rooms /herbal room/infra red rooms MORE than beddings/mattresses/beds/rooms in G Saunas ya 

Oh ya in those countries* mentioned , they tend to have some clients even at non-peak hours (age is never an issue) and they oeprate as good as 24hrs (meaning? there is a market of the non-peak timing too)

in sg, i saw in air-conditioned Lift, pp are sweating in early morning in the lift (not even noon) 
all seemed to be able to survive in malls and offices without the need to wrap and clothed themselves w extra jacket and shawl...Why so?

all my colleagues shouted NO to walk under hot sun to get lunch too, as if heat = danger 

but in those countries mentioned , all their facilties focused so much on Saunas (be it dry ones or the steam rooms) 
& heat is no good for our balls(though we are not using them to procreate) 
and private rooms are so limited
(of course, it is due to their countries' regulations) 

and every time if you hear me in a spa, you surely is expecting me spending 95%(or more)  of my time in either cold pools or cold area, eg resting lounge , catering area etc

Tried Love Spa during songkran as Hero spa was closed. I think hero is still better in the sense its newer, cleaner and bigger for the same price. Love spa literally just have a small second floor for cruising. Indeed crowd ten to be more mature than hero spa. And i kept getting pester by massuer who asked if i want massage for 10 USD. They wonder in the dark maze too. Something i dont encounter in hero spa.
