Many has been reported of Ang Lee's recent winning of the Golden Lion award for his film "Se, Jie" in the 64th Venice Film Festival.

Little is mentioned that for the first time, in this Film Festival, a Queer Lion award will be handled out to a LGBT film. After several years of negotiations, the prize will sit alongside the regular Golden Lion award and will go to the best full-length film featuring a gay theme or character.

The special jury, composed of Andrea Occhinpinti, Sandro Avanzo, Simone Morandi, Vincenzo Patan
