There were quite a few men with fully shaved pubes today at San Onsen. 

 

Almost everyone was naked, and there were no small towels provided.

 

Some of the patrons came with friends, some patrons made friends, but I did not see any action - then again, I was in the pools most of the time.

I'm just wondering how to start conversation or make friend in the onsen? A few times I tried nodding and smiling to other people but most of the times it did not lead to conversation or chit chat while in the onsen. 

 

Feeling quite bored sitting there all by myself and envying other people who come with their friends.

This is my experience too. 

Maybe the patrons are just too shy or something.  I have some success talking to people in the Onsen, started by smiling or nodding at them.  But the success rate is low.  

 

I guess I just have to keep trying.

 

I am sure I would have a better chance if I were young good looking and have a great body.  However, those days are long gone.  🙂

 I'm not shy to say that I don't have a great body. Already in my late 40's, overweight, flabby with tiny willy, definitely not an eye opener 🤣. 

 

Glad that I discovered San Onsen, coz I really² enjoyed Onsen during my trip to Japan around 8 years ago!

My body is not great either, but I agree with you, it feels great to re-live the memories of the Japanese onsens I visited when I was in Japan.

I went to San Onsen last night from 7 to 10pm.

 

Temperature

  • the indicators were working
  • the large pool was not warm - almost as cold as the middle pool

Towel

It was seen that no one used a small towel. According to one of the frequent patrons, the staffs told him that the onsen is no longer providing small towel from now on, when he requested one from them.

 

Community

The crowd went up from 5 to 16 between 830pm to 10pm. Most people were in disposable shorts (due to no small towel to cover up, I guess) whereas the rest remained naked. I chatted casually at the pool with a few first-timers and the regulars. It was a pleasant night without seeing any horse-playing or loud-chatting peoples.

Finally at the onsen. Really like the design and atmosphere. Maybe because of the wrong timing, there isn't anyone here. Haha. Will hang out here until around 9 pm and see if I have any luck to meeting some new friends 🤗

That was a quiet Tuesday night with less than 10 patrons in total. Everyone enjoyed their hot dip session peacefully.

Last Saturday afternoon, I went to San Onsen. Although there weren’t many people, almost everyone there was P…

 

I happened to run into a guy I had suck before. Then I saw a chubby guy following him to the restroom, and at that moment, I pretty much knew.... I had no chance, haha.

 

Around 4 PM, I noticed a guy who seemed to be visiting for the first time since the staff was explaining things to him. At first, I didn’t pay much attention because his looks and physique weren’t particularly outstanding. But the moment he stripped and stepped into the water… my eyes were instantly drawn to him... because he was huge. My mind was flooded with all sorts of images, imagining touching him, sucking him… Hahaha.

 

Unfortunately, he also ended up being followed by another guy into the restroom…

 

Summary of the day:

I could only look but not taste—heartbroken.🥹🥹🥹

Hi. Sorry if this has been posted before. Can u go to ksl onsen in klang without getting massages? The promo ive seen seems to imply u can use onsen only if u get the massages.

Yes, you can. 45-min sentou for RM48 (walk in).

As answered above, yes, you can go soak in the onsen without getting a massage.  I have been to Sen Onsen many times and paid for the Onsen facilities only, no massage. 

 

Although the official onsen enjoyment period is 45 min, I have not ever seen it enforced.  I have soaked in there and enjoyed the facilities for more than 3 hours and no onsen custodian had ever approached me to advice me that I have overstayed my visit.

Currently there is a promo ongoing for KSL san onsen, 10x entry for RM240, that is 50% off… 

 

I have been to billion onsen, quite nice. Many tourists from China, and they are usually full naked.

I heard the hot pool in San Onsen is not working. 
If the facilities are not in order, I am not sure if their promo's will b effective. 50% off is not bad, but if 50% of the price means the customers get to enjoy only half the facilities, then is not exactly a good deal.

I have not been to Billion Onsen before. It costs more than San Onsen in Klang, but it is a different experience because it is more a Spa than a straightforward onsen.

Very pricey. 150 for half body massage? Even manhood mentioned there "no intimate touch". Don't know about quality of the massage but if you are interested with the masseur, don't get disappointed if the service you get not as good as their looks. Somehow they might treat you differently if you are not from their class. iykyk. Sorry I sound judgmental.
