Closeted_jock Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 My workout attire stinks like mad. I don't know why it does, but I tried rinsing in hot water, using lemons, double washing. All those things don't get the stink out. There are days I wore my tops out to the gym, and on the way there, due to body heat, it starts to smell like a platoon of BMT boys. Anyone have that issue? I'm trying not to throw them away as they are sometimes quite costly. Quote

Soak your smelly clothes in a pail of water with a spoonful of baking soda for 15-20 minutes before dumping into the washing machine for its usual cleansing cycle. Quote

I've experienced that if I let my sweaty clothes dry up, I'd need to soak them in soap prior to washing, then use the dryer. But if I wash them right after, it seems to solve the problem. Quote
GymStock Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 I have similar issues. I used lemons and soak them overnight. It solves the problem. It does comes back after a while. I'll try vinegar or baking soda. And yes I think it will help that you rinse/quick wash your workout attire immediately after workout (since you need to shower anyway).
