Guest Guest Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I think only one or two i think? Local celebrities still very conversative in coming out.
Guest crabby Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 I think in Kumar's case, it is paper cannot wrap the fire already. In his shows , he goes in drag and then jokingly tells the audience that he comes across various types of men which he picks up for sex in hotel rooms. he has tried sex with Chinese men with smal dicks , medium dicks and big gigantic dicks, he claims. he also claims in his shows that he had encountered caucasian men who gives good bedroom experience which he goes on to describe in salacious details . So in Kumar's case it is no big deal. I would think it will be BIG , GIGANTIC news if people like Dasmond KOH , Romeo Tan , ELVIN NG, or all of the closet mini celebs who have always cultivate their str8 personality decide one day to put the truth first and their ricebowl career in jeopardy by coming out to the public without some sort of monetary exchange or heightening of their careers. Why should celebrity come out to the public, in the first place its private matter what one does with lover in bedroom right. WHAt is the use of coming out to the Singapore public ?? For public edification ?? After 50 years of national education, and all kinds of campaign, are the public educated enough to control ones own personal urges no matter how itchy the urge is and do public good, My bet is most people will submit to their habit and urges . like not smoking and controlling the urge to smoke in public areas that are designated strictly non smoking areas, smokers will flout rules if they think no one is watching and can get away with puffing their cigarettes.I hate smokers because the vast majority are inconsiderate louts, leaving behind their smoky air, leaving and throwing cig butts indiscrimininately and always want to smoke in non smoking areas. Can people control their urges and not stick bubble gum under MRT handle bars where other people 's hand will touch their handiwork Can people control their urges and not throw down high rise litters like target practice? The answer is no. So this demolish the argument that celebrity coming out to the public will educate the public about LGBT and make them more sympathetic to LGBT people and their right and needs .
Guest Sex sex-pert Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 Let me give you a revision on mediacorpse artistes' REAL sexuality. Li nanxing is a trans man. Song yifei a trans woman. Zoe tay is a closeted lesbian. Fann wong a bisexual. She had a love-hate relationship with zoe. Xiang yun is actually a fag hag who married her fag. Same for hong huifang and zheng geping. everyone in mediacorpse knows. Rayson tan and chen liping are in a lesbian relationship. Chen liping is bi-the-way. Rui en is her gf. Open secret in mediacorpse. Chew chor meng is a try-sexual. Sean chen and andy chen are both sexually 'fluid'. Chen hanwei and zhou chongqing are gender fluid. Thought everyone knows these already.

SazNura Posted October 13, 2016 Posted October 13, 2016 (edited) hmm if politician can be considered a celebrity, then opposition politician Dr. Vincent Wijeysingh could be considered openly gay too Edited October 13, 2016 by SazNura

The answer is no. So this demolish the argument that celebrity coming out to the public will educate the public about LGBT and make them more sympathetic to LGBT people and their right and needs . Part of coming out is to show that gays and the rest of the queer community are not that much different from straight people. Right now, the image is that of Kumar, etc. and it creates a misperception that being gay means being sissy, or transgendered, or you are some sexual deviant. It is not. LGBT people come in all shapes and sizes and all kinds of mannerisms etc. Right now, the Singapore media (I think it may be in the law or guideline) has an issue with portraying gay people in any positive light. The LGBT community is consistently demonized, and when mentioned at all in the press, it is usually negatively. Positive moments are censored, hence the public will never know other than what they see and know now. So part of the coming out to Singapore public is educate them that LGBT people are mostly regular every day people. LGBT people are like them, we share the same fears, insecurities, issues that everyone else is experiencing. Once we remove the fear, then can we move into acceptance. Being LGBT is not like smoking or chewing gum as you've mentioned. Being LGBT is more like being born Chinese, or born with black hair or blue eyes. How do you stop the urge of being Chinese or control having black hair? Edited October 15, 2016 by doncoin Hemnes and auri 1 1 Love.
Guest meow scratch Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Some singaporeans CHOOSE to see gays as deviants and not accept them. That choice is clear as day. No amount of education will help shift their minds. *gave up* Media conditioning or not, they wholeheartedly - stubborn or not, their minds are made up and immovable - believe being gay is anatomically unnatural, morally improper, ethically unacceptable and therefore patently WRONG, just wrong! Lol

Lol So you are just going to let their choices affect an entire generation, or a few generations of LGBT simply because you gave up. You cannot fight stupidity. Not so long ago, people believe that the world is flat, and the moon is made of cheese. How did their minds changed to be where we are today that we believe the earth is round, and the moon is definitely not made of cheese? Education. Once upon a time too, our ancestors were taught that women are anatomically unnatural, and morally improper, hence to be kept at home, and hidden from the world. What changed? Education. Love.
Guest Physical limits Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 It just needs a long long longg time to educate them. At the rate we are going, definitely not before we die.

Guest play play Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Ha..ha..ha the list by sex sexpert is really a joke only. Why the three guys I had before is missing in yr list is sufficient to prove my case. Well I just want to make my point that there is no need for a closet door. So nobody needs to make any announcement at all. To announce to the world that you are like this or like that is a way of telling that something is wrong somewhere about yourself. Do we really need a list of celebrity names to soften the effects of being a lgbt? Many gay couples have gained acceptance cos people accepted that its their rights.Live is short. Everybody will be gone after a long lapse of time. so lets be happy...have sex... make love.

Allegro Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 Just like many of the guys here, those in their late 30's and reaching 40's still single are most probably gay. Same predicament like every other gay out there.

Of course these people are lying, Kumar is straight and married with kids. In the entertainment world, whatever makes the audience pay money is the truth. If you pay him 1 million to say he is actually a woman, he will. Try it.
Guest 72%dark Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 Those people whose reply is basically “why is there a need for celebrities to come out blah blah blah”, please read the original post by TS. The “why” is beside the point. TS is just looking for a well-known local person whom he can give as an example of a gay person, even better if that person is successful or otherwise had a positive image. Then when he comes out to his parents he can be like, “See, Sg has gay people, it’s not just me being a weird deviant. A gay person can even be successful etc etc, and not necessarily some pervert that you might imagine.” And the local part is important because it forestalls the common objection that homosexuality is somehow a Western import.
auri Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 That's right, anybody can be gay. The well known TV personality. The much admired athlete. The successful corporate figure. The politician. Not to mention many other non-famous doctors, lawyers, teachers, architects, nurses, etc, etc. The more people come out, the more normal being gay will be seen as (by the ignorant/conservative/sheltered)
