Guest Uncle Choo
Dear All, This uncle is retired, a few months back, doctors prescribed that I have to take drugs for enlarge prostate, urine and nerve pain. The problem is these drugs are very expensive in SGH as I have to take them for long term. One solution is to buy them from JB at cheaper prices, but I am not very familiar with Johor, only been there a few times. Could some kind souls please tell me where I can get imported genuine drugs from which pharmacy and where, I have the doctors' prescriptions. Thanks. G_M
Dear uncle, 1. If you are really a local uncle, you do know that your medications are subsidised by garment, buying from JB does not guarantee its cheaper. 2. Dosage and efficacy may differ from countries to countries, although it may be of the same medical name /term. 2. if you are PG, you get even more subsidies. 3. Please do not use "Drugs" which carries negative connotations. The correct words to use is "prescribed medications". upshot 1 http://www.facebook.com/gachimuchi
Vometra
Dear Uncle Choo, do you have the name and dosage of the drugs? Apex pharmacy at City Square should be able to dispense "prescribed medications" with valid prescriptions, though I'm not sure if they are actually cheaper. ckson
You can try Multicare Pharmacy (http://www.multicare2u.com.my). They're like the equivalent of Guardian/Watson, except that they specialise in medicine. They've many branches in KL/PJ and are rapidly expanding to other states. I encourage you to call up any of the store location and tell them the medicine you want and ask them about the price (after discount). You can even ask them to get the medicine ready for you a few days in advance and then cash & carry when you're there. mate69
Guest guest
Base on what i heard from old people, pioneer generation benefits are not given to all pioneers even though they may have hit the age. CPF + House value must not be more than $60k. People who have house + cpf exceeding this 60k will not get benefits. Only the poor pioneers gets it. Base on what i heard from people, most medications whether precribed or non-prescribed are cheaper in malaysia. Pharma companies price their products base on the per capita GDP/wealth. Sg is considered a rich country so they price it higher than Malaysia. Uncle choo if u go bangkok, u can buy from community pharmacies where the prices are subsidised and below commercial pharmacies. Guest Another guest
I also heard that the Health Sciences Authority in Singapore levies a charge, something to do with approving the medication here in Singapore, hence the price difference between Singapore and other countries. I have bought a health supplement CoQ10 from Australia at one fifth of the price in Singapore and it's the same brand.

Bu for royal jelly or honey, i think australia side is cheaper.

It's called Interpharm, housed just outside of the entrance to the building near a money changer, farthest end of building away from City Sq Mall. Think building is Merlin Plaza or smthg
