I will be spending about 10 days but I think I can only tolerate the family for about 3 days max. I am thinking about visiting a beach resort in Thailand or Cambodia or anywhere else. Stay as long as you want at Babylon Barracks or Takeanap. Shop till you drop. Pamper yourself with cheap massages and treatments. Feast on sumptous cuisines. And immerse yourself in the local culture. If you get bored, Phuket/Patong will be a good base. Some great bargains as things get quiet but you'll still enjoy the dry cool weather. As much as I enjoy BKK, since I am travelling by myself, I think I prefer going to a beach resort type of place where I don't really have to do much. Just relax, spa, catch up on reading. Quote Love.
