It is the annually hype up event yet again~ Feat. Chainsmokers, Ariana Grande, OneRepublic, Calvin Harris ...who is anticipating this weekend lol? Hope it is not the last year for them to recontract for F1 =/

Has the euphoria died down?

Who still sit in front of the TV (much less watch it LIVE) for that 60+ rounds of tyre-burnting? Have the local organisers show their balance sheet?  Is it still worthwhile to host this expensive event?  I know, Malaysians are losing tons of their ringgits.

 

F1 Concerts: What happened to Mando pop concerts?

I remember the first concerts in 2009. It was held at Fort Canning Park and I was there for A*mei and Jacky Cheung.  Tickets were much affordable then, was it $180?

 

Anyway this year's line up does not cater much to the matured Chinese speaking and Chinese singing audience..Duran Duran (who want to watch them, a 1980s pop-punk group known for their looks rather the voice).

 

Perhaps next year, they should add Ah Sam and Ah Tam (Samuel Hui and Alan Tam, 许冠杰和谭咏麟）I watched their concert in Hong Kong last month and I think, they can fill up the 55,000 seats in National Stadium anytime.  Both have more than 40 years in the show biz and the song repertoire 唱三晚都不重复！
