merlinkun
I guess it depends on the state in life the person is at. In uni, I don't really note a lot of people using Tinder, they kinda just meet during hall or school events/classes and it goes on from there. Then again I won't know that much as I don't use Tinder myself. https://merlinsfolio.wordpress.com/ https://medium.com/@merlincheng "On the Internet, no one knows you are a cat." kingbitch
I and my closest friends found love on apps, so it's a matter of luck (that you met the right guy). Statistically, I heard that in Singapore Grindr has a higher proportion of guys interested only in sex, so you might like to spend more time on Jack'd and Tind. inamoto

Kinda like tinder where you swipe left and right. quite a decent amount of Singaporean guys, I would say Edited October 31, 2017 by Jak09

derryfawne
I shared my experiences for the different dating apps in details here: But in a nutshell: Tinder (when ppl do talk) > Jack'd, Hornet > Grindr for LTR potentials riverrobles 1 “Do not take life too seriously. lovehandle
1 of the interviewee is bi it is important to see what is it used for: tindr in jp is not for sex or hook-ups/love (they don't find tindr superficial in jp but made very gd pals) and I don't assume but have always asked for your backgrd/culture etc
zyjd
I met my current bf on Jack'd. It wasn't love at first sight (I'll be the first to say he isn't very good looking), but I thought there's nothing to lose when he asked me out for dinner after chatting about common interests for some time. He turned out to be a sincerely nice and considerate man with no hidden agendas whatsoever. It was also important that we both felt we could connect intellectually and complete the other person's character - he's the cool, composed, rational guy while I'm the passionate, emotional, knows-how-to-enjoy-life other half. We've been together for more than 2 years now and still madly in love with each other. And this is coming from someone who didn't believe in using dating apps to find dates. Haha. "I'm feeling horny" happens to be in that list. So yeah. Surge is just as trashy as Tinder, if not more. I can't think of an online social platform where there won't be guys who just can't wait to invade your pants. The only difference is prolly the number of'em. Seungjun
It happens. Many people in my circle met their other halves on the apps. Myself included.

repressednerd
I tried Surge when travelling in the US. Was pretty good as I met decent guys. Hardly useful in Singapore though.

AskMeNot
Just don't show your face and dick pics on these apps. There are a lot of trolls around looking for content to add to their Tumblr. Edited July 7, 2018 by AskMeNot
