I'm waiting for 15 April when the vouchers come in and I'll get a new toiletbowl since I don't have anything electrical to buy. My current toilet has a weak flush; many times I need to press twice to fully clear the bowl. I'm looking at the Toto C769 with tornado flush - only those cisterns with 3 ticks are eligible for climate voucher use. I used it in a hotel and was very impressed by how quiet and efficient the tornado flush was lol. Here's a video of a local xxr demonstrating the C769

I have a Crumpler Goose (small) and old wallet I use solely for travelling. Other than leaving my phone in my front left pocket out of habit, my travel wallet and passport is always in the crossbody pouch that I wear around. I like that it's small enough that I've never had to remove it while the plane's taking off/landing, and when I go to colder countries and have to wear a jacket - this can be worn underneath it for added safety. I've been a victim of a pickpocketing attempt while in the Grand Bazaar in Istabul, and fortunately all that the thief got out of my coat's pocket was a fabric tissue holder gifted to me some years back that probably felt like a wallet to him hahaha I also don't bring along my credit cards in my travel wallet; besides a simple ATM card for that's enabled for overseas emergency use, I use PayWave on my phone to prevent unnecessary trouble if I ever lose it. Another thing I don't really use is the hotel safe; I might leave my laptop or iPad inside if I was forced to bring it along on holiday, but I've never trusted it enough to put spare cash etc. inside because it's quite easily opened and accessed by the staff of the hotel. -

this happened many years ago. I was at a gay club enjoying myself in the corner when this cute twink said hi and dragged me to the dance floor to dance. Long story short, we both got increasingly tipsy and frisky, and since we both couldn't host at that time, I suggested checking in to a nearby budget hotel to "rest and spend the night". Guess everyone can insinuate the subtext here Once the door closed behind us, we immediately started pawing each other and trying to get naked; we could both feel the arousal in our groins as we tried shedding our clothes while hugging and making out. After a bit of foreplay, he lifted his ass in the air and I went in doggy style at the foot of the bed. After getting used to me in him, I started pumping away for less than a minute when he suddenly groaned out a "wait... stop..." which I mistook as him moaning in pleasure; he had been rather vocal beforehand. "you like it? Enjoying me in you? Like being filled???" "no no wait...", and this time, he used his right palm to firmly push my thigh away. My cock made a soft puckering sound as it exited from his ass and I noted the condom was stained rather brown. I was about to ask if he was ok when he suddenly groaned loudly and his ass suddenly spewed out warm matter everywhere. Shocked, I looked down and my entire torso was covered tiny droplets of fecal matter. The whole room stank to the high heavens, and I quickly escaped into the toilet to wash off while I continued hearing loud wet farting sounds. After a thorough shower and scrub, I came out and examined the crime scene: OH MY GOD THE ROOM WAS IN A STINKY SHITTY MESS. There were droplets of shit all over the wall and TV behind where I was, and apparently more watery diarrhoea came out while I was washing up, and it was now dripping from the foot of the bed onto the floor. Twink was seemingly knocked out from the prior alcohol, exertion from sex, and his stomachache, so I got dressed and bolted the hell away from the room while he continued sleeping in his poop. When I walked past the reception, I told the dude on duty "I managed to wash my drunk friend up and he's sleeping now. I'll pay for an extension till noon". He simply nodded and wordlessly took the cash. I was thankful he was more interested in the show playing on his phone screen and didn't seem to take much note of me. Since then I've been extra hesitant of having fun with anyone who's drunk and not really in control of his bodily functions. I can understand a bit of poop on the condom (hey, shit happens lol) but wtf, projectile bits of shit everywhere was really scarring.

Life advices for a newbie in the corporate world

at work: your colleagues are not your friends. Be cordial, join them for lunch, be a team player, but don't share stuff with them you wouldn't say to your reporting officers or directors outside work: set aside as much as you can to invest. Buy bank stocks and precious metals early (though gold and silver now is at an ATH...) life in general: listen to this spoken word song by Baz Lurhmann -

FF @ Singpost on 23 May around 1715 hrs We've seen each other multiple times at this gym. I just finished my cardio and you were setting up your spot at the class fitness area; might have been coincidental but you saw me walking towards the changing room and followed me there. You were using locker 52 and I was at the same section. We looked at each other pointedly in the past quite a number of times. Do hit me up if you're here! -
I went to "like" that Google review. If what the poster said is true, this is potentially a big story. Imagine the headlines: ANTI LGBTQ+ PASTORS HAVE ILLEGITIMATE GRANDSON THEY SENT AWAY. I guess karma is a real bitch after all. There needs to be some traction on this; please like and share this review so at least these "pastors" are compelled to release a statement regarding their actions of: - whether what the poster said has any truth. We are seeking clarity. - their conservative stance that is against homosexuality, divorce, etc., despite their firstborn allegedly indulging in premarital sex that led to the birth of an illegitimate child. - allegedly sending the bastard grandchild away with his mother and ex-communicating them from the church. Matthew 7:3-5 reads, "Why do you look at the [insignificant] speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice and acknowledge the [egregious] log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me get the speck out of your eye,’ when there is a log in your own eye? You hypocrite (play-actor, pretender), first get the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye." (AMP version quoted)

Looking part-time helper (ironing)
zyjd replied to LeGrad's topic in Services, Biz & Useful Web Links
you can try calling this china lady at 9376 6565, I call her "Bee Jin da jie", she charges $100 for 4h. A few of my friends used her before for general housekeeping and ironing of clothes, and I've not heard complaints from them so I think she should be pretty alright. Hope this helps! -
my bill increase is around $10 only and I leave it on nearly 24/7. if the air is dry till the RH is like less than 20% then it's bad for health, but the lowest I've seen the reading on my machine go is only 45%. Don't think it's possible for it to drop below that.

I bought a dehumidifier in December last year and have never looked back! I got the Novita ND2000 2-in-1 dehumidifier-air purifier and am very happy with it. The unit spews out warm air, but the overall difference in temperature is barely felt. In fact, when my neighbor popped by a couple of days back, she asked why my house felt noticeably cooler than the corridor - and I gave credit to the dehumidifier. I first found out about dehumidifiers from my godsister: her flat suffers from really bad humidity - to the point of black mold spots appearing at the top of her walls and ceiling. After she and her husband scraped away the mold and repainted the place, they bought dehumidifiers to try lowering the relative humidity, and the mold spots haven't been back for the past 3 years (and counting). While it is true the windows ought to be kept closed, it's no loss to us because she has a cat, and I don't really like to open the windows anyway for my loath of dust and potential insects flying in. I do, however, periodically open 2 of my living room windows a few cm for some fresh air to enter the house. My unit comes with a continuous drainage pipe, but I prefer to let the water collect into the tank where I then use it to flush my toilet - the 4L tank fills my cistern's tank nicely. I empty the dehumidifier's tank about 4x a day if I leave the unit running for 24h on laundry mode (the highest fan speed). If I set it to auto whereby the unit regulates itself according to the ambient relative humidity then it's around 2 and a half times a day... but I personally like it on the highest setting so I don't feel so sickeningly sticky at home. It is a wee bit cumbersome to empty the tank a few times daily but I've gotten used to it I guess? That, and the slightly higher electricity bills are what I'd count as supposed cons of having a dehumidifier, but I do feel better overall during the day so I'm absolutely not going to complain.

Renewing car C.O.E after the first Ten years of usage ?
zyjd replied to a topic in Blowing Wind Main Forum
Hmmm if your PARF is that high then it probably means you're driving a Camry or Accord? Bear in mind that CAT B COE's PQP is currently around $108,000 - the $80,000 renewal rate you mentioned is for smaller CAT A cars. Since you mentioned that it's serviced at the AD regularly and no known problems other than worn tyres and shock absorbers, I'd suggest you bite the bullet and renew for a decade instead of 5 years. The cost is more but you're spreading the $15,000 PARF over 10 years which amounts to $1,500 a year compared to $3,000 a year if you were to renew for 5 years. Also if you perform the latter, you will be required to deregister the car in 2028 - a 5 year COE is non-renewable. The last thing to note is the increasing road tax and annual inspections: renewed COE cars have a tax that goes up 10% yearly up to a maximum of 150% at the 15th year. -
Renewing car C.O.E after the first Ten years of usage ?
zyjd replied to a topic in Blowing Wind Main Forum
Yes, should you renew for 5 years you only pay 50% of the PQP (prevailing quota premium). You can find out PQP rates by Googling it I've some questions for you: 1. What is the make and model of the car you are driving? (Some car makes are known to be more reliable than others e.g., Toyota over Citroen, Mercedes-Benz over Audi.) 2. Are you the first owner of the vehicle since its registration in 2013? If not, how many previous owners were there, and how long has the car been under your ownership for? (Owner count is a good gage of whether the car is a lemon or not, and your duration of ownership is telling how well you know your car.) 3. What's the total mileage done on this car of yours? Have you done any major servicing and changed big ticket items in the last year or so? 4. Has this car been serviced at the recommended intervals during your period of ownership at either the agent or a reputable workshop? 5. What is the PARF value you stand to lose if you were to renew the COE? This information can be found in your digital Singpass under "Vehicle & Driving License" (When you renew the COE, you automatically forfeit PARF of the car. The PARF value varies quite a bit, from approximately $6,000 for a bread-and-butter 1.6L korean runabout to approximately $25,000 for an executive car from a continental brand.) 6. Do you really like your current ride and can you see yourself driving it for another 5 or 10 years? 7. Should you be open to buying a new car, which model are you looking at? How much money are you willing to put as downpayment/pay in full for the car, and if you are taking a loan, what would be the comfortable monthly amount you're willing to set aside for repayment? -

FF @ MBC on 22 Nov around 0935 hrs We happened to get dressed around the same time in the changing room, and took the lift down to L2 together. I alighted first and took the escalators down to my car parked at 20W. You were following behind and when I pulled out of the lot, we looked at each other rather pointedly as I drove past. I was wearing a gray tee, black berms, carried a blue tote bag, and wore slippers that irritatingly squeaked with every step as they were still wet from my shower. Hit me up if you're here!
