First thing: The personal opinion is not the same as a result of a survey on the likes and dislikes of young Asian gay men or young Asian Singaporean gay men.

Due to the influx of working gay white men in their mid 20s to late 30s to Singapore, things have extremely changed in Singapore the past 20 years. Because previously most white men here were in the older age, as it was normal to send more senior staff to the region or more senior staff in the age above 40 made business trips to this region.

 

You just need to go to Tantric on a Friday or Saturday night and you can see how Singapore has changed on the availability of very young gay White men and GWM in their 30s. Nowadays, you find young Students from US and Europe in their early 20s coming to Singapore. The times have changed that much that you even find white guys who can afford only looking for other gay white guys here.

 

For my point of view and talking to many gay friends, Gay White Men are still a matter of attraction in Singapore. However, finding a very young Singaporean once you exceed the age of 60 might be more challenging as it had been 20 years back. But I am very sure that even Steve in his 70s would still find a nice Singaporean chap in his late 30s who would find him attractive and maybe not only due to the reason that he is a white guy but maybe because he is seeking a more "meaningful" time with someone you can talk over a glass of wine instead of just jumping to bed only.

Despite the fact that eventually more Singaporeans (at least for the Chinese Singaporeans) are more attracted to other Singaporean Chinese instead of White guys, white men in Singapore should have nothing to complain that they are not found attractive. But I admit that the number of Chinese Singaporean guys who are not into white guys (of any age) has increased the past years. However, all the time you have got to know guys who totally weren't attracted to GWM with their personal reasons.

 

I rarely have heard any gay white men in Singapore in any age complaining that their sex life or social connection is near to dead in Singapore.

 

Plus, it is a wrong picture that Gay White men (in any age) have been looking out for "submissive" Asian boys. No Gay White men (at least the vast majority) want to date someone who is submissive, because in most times he is used to discuss, talk and so on. From this point of view it is good that there are more better educated and outspoken Singaporean gays as this would much more complement the search expectations of Gay white men in this region or Singapore . (The exclusion is maybe for sex only GWMs who come here exclusively for sexual pleasure purposes and don't seek much interaction besides sex, but this would be same for them to search for a sex partner in other developed countries, if they are top they prefer a submissive bottom.)

 

Therefore, the reason why an older gay white daddy has challenges to find a very young Asian boy may be that the demand has extremely decreased due to the high availability of Gay white men in younger ages. Meaning the market share of young Asian boys looking out for white older daddies in their 70s has decreased as their is an oversupply of Gay white men in much younger ages (20 - 50s). 30 years back only older Gay white men came over or were stationed here, then to interact with a GWM more younger guys had been willing to date an older GWM. Nowadays only Asian Singaporean young guys who are attracted to white daddies in the retirement age will look out for such guys.

 

Do the test, change your grindr to a gwm, put the age at 55, you would be surprised how many Singaporean men within one day will contact you.

 

Despite the fact that Singapore is an Asian country but the society of Singapore is largely determined by a very American lifestyle.

But the second topic I will cover in a different essay as I would need more time to draw my response up.

I have not done this test myself, but I am inclined to believe that it is true. Specifically, a 55 year-old GWM profile will receive more messages than a 55 year-old GAM profile, all else being equal. What you write makes a lot of sense.  Unless the gay scene has changed much in the last 4 years,  the last time I was in SG I still found younger attractive guys who gave me their attention and more.  You are also right that we ang mohs who come as tourists don't look for submissive Asian boys.  If I wanted something submissive, I would get a dog.  If it had to be a person, I could find plenty of easy and very nice Asian boys in other countries where life standards are much lower than in SG.  It is a pleasure to find nice Asian boys who have also good culture and knowledge.

i want some predictability and consistency,

 

in my journey , I find I like the pure natives of SEA , they have a body smell that reminds me freshly cut cow grass, totally not offensive without a sour note.

 

Caucasians without deodorant and EDT , just smell to meaty, beefy and pungent, a little exertion then a copious amount of sweat all over, and I feel like I am in a beef butchers shop with all the raw meat smell.

Attraction to Gay White Men?

Most Singaporeans (and Singaporean Chinese if I may add) are generally not attracted to Gay White Men.

 

I realise most of the young guys going for Old Ang Moh here are not locals. Quite a number are Malaysians, I wonder why.

 

I have a close Msian Chinese friend in his late 20s (turning 30) who is staying with his Old Ang Moh partner. Behind his partner back, he is also seeing other younger guys and having sex with them. When asked why an Old Ang Moh in the first place, he said its for the money and nothing else. So sad.

Now we have more representation in pop culture and PoC have been given more stamp of "desirable" by the media that diminishes the myth that white people are more superior.

 

That said, there are still many ways to go as far as representation goes for PoC. But society has becoming increasingly woke.

When I drive I have to lift up with tape the folds of my foreskin that hang over my eyes, and when I eat I have to be careful not to bite off the skin of my cheeks that hangs over my mouth.  When I pee, I have to move up the folds of skin that detached from my round tummy,  and when I shit...  well, I won't tell your!

I think this is vastly outdated. Just watch any TV series from nowadays (in the Western world). You will find plenty of "Persons of colour" in those series. One of the most famous hospital series in the US had that Chinese lady as main actor for years. Many TV series even from the West have a very mixed crowd. Even in France, many movie or TV actors are from the Mediterranean North African decent.

We can be all limited by our self made boundaries, but it would help to move on (or eventually to open the eyes)!

But honestly nobody can deny that most TV series in Singapore on the relevant channels display this sort of "Apartheid".

And why aren't there more Asian movies in the cinemas in South East Asia?

All shows are 95% American movies.

But I don't think those movies are out to show that whites are superior.

Just look at that gay movies from that Taiwanese director, who won the Oscar some time back. His character were predominantly Asian and this in way back 1993.

They are way ahead compared to Sinkies, so far no Broadway star, but got Broadway Beng, 

 

Btw , any Pinoys that made it as a judge in US , or district attorneys,  I dont think any Sinkies have sat on a judge bench yet in US , or even district attorneys, altho many have many have it to graduate prestigiously from IVY league unis, but none have climb that high, except
