Actually the topic should be "Is the attraction to Old Gay White Men outdated in nowadays Singapore?" In my experience, many younger Singaporeans are open to dating guys of different races, but mostly of a similar age group. Very few young Singaporeans that I have come across have the attractions to old white "daddies" or "sugar daddies" which were very common in the late 1900s and into the early 2000s. There are some, of course, but their percentage as members of the community is miniscule.

That is where the big change has been. As mentioned above, however, most young white guys are into other young white guys. Some who are here might date Singaporeans for a while, and try something different ("go local"), but those are not often thinking in terms of a lasting long-term relationship since their ideal partner is another white guy. Residents of this country seeking long-term happiness will usually look for other locals in similar age groups, regardless of race, but most likely to also be Asian.

Yes from own experience I can say that may Asians have respect, maybe some admiration to white guys in the region.

In certain countries, locals tend to be very happy and delighted to see white guys (not talking about gay situations but in general).

There might be a feeling that white guys are treated preferentially. But maybe this is just some respect and has nothing to do with inferiority.

However, that is not really the case. It is just a reaction of this "Wow, this white guy is coming to my country" feeling.

Even in Malaysia in rural areas, people can come to one's table at a restaurant to just find out where you come from or start a chat with you.

In certain countries in can get annoying, because locals tend to like to make photos together with white guys.

At Borobudur temple in Yogjakarta I actually spent most days acting as "star" photo guest on groups of locals taking photos.

On the other hand, I experienced many Singaporean behaving very bad and culturally disrespectful in South East Asian countries with a sort of looking down attitude and self entitlement attitude, scolding staff for petty things on times even unreasonable requests. Sure, there can be White guys too who start shouting or are upset and scold the local staff but I just saw too many Singaporeans behaving badly.

But still I would tend to say that the check in staff for any 4 star and above hotel in Singapore or South East Asia would treat the Singaporean guest the same as a white guest.

why there is the attraction for white guys as to gay guys, I can't give an answer. but I would not go so far to say that Singaporeans who "worship" white guys have a disdain for their own "race".

I don't really say where you come from in mentioning "general confidence in and attraction to own race. Shall we understand that younger gays in the past had no confidence and were not attracted to their own race?

I rather don't think so. From all that blogs and past stories that I read here or at other sites there were always two Asians or two Singaporeans involved in sex acts. The occurrence of sex acts described with white guys seems rare. I do even think like 30 years ago there were so few white guys here around.

I won't say outdated, but the majority of the young ones are hip to the history and privilege of the white man, and tend to be turned off by that.

I mean, this is the age of globalisation, ethical discussions, colourism etc. Young people are smarter now.

But that is not to say that everyone is of this demographic. In Singapore, and larger degrees our neighbouring countries, there is still this mindset that bagging a white guy means affluence and stability. If not for a long time, at least for a while.

Sometimes, it is even confounded with this idea of a white man as a trophy. Talk about inverted trends! This is why Barbarella with her "angmoh boyfriend" hanging out at sand-tosa playing bitch volleryball is such a relatable figure. We all have met someone like that, and it seems to apply to both women and gay men.

So if I was an older white man, who has garnered the attention of a nubile young asian man, I would be suspicious actually.

its the power of the pen, the pen is mightier than the sword, I am humbled that I can send chills down your body,

but I am not like that character in the Lambs where the protagonist wants to metamorphosis by sewing up human skin, I have no desire to be a semi woman, with a dick , and I have no desire to tuck my dick under my balls to create a female camel toe appearance, but thanks anyway.
