I think if I am the spa owner, there would be a business opportunity: create a day or an afternoon for men who are into cross dressing at the spa. Give them the space to feel comfortable and socialise amongst other men who are into cross dressing and men who like men who cross dress. There are not many places in Singapore that offers such an afternoon, so whoever does it first, with the right amount of publicity will probably draw a crowd.

Personally, it doesn't really bother me. The closest experience I have had was watching this guy tucking his privates so as to reduce the bulge at the gym locker room.

There are cross dressers who are gay, bisexual or straight. Different cross dressers do it for different reasons but usually they do not see themselves as female. I am assuming when you see a cross dressing male person in a gay sauna:

a. They are doing it for sexual purpose and hopefully find partners who are interested in how they present themselves.

b. They feel safe enough to do it because there are not many places where they can be who are.

Like what imchaser said, cross dressers are categorized under the transgender population but they are not transgender females, which is a gender identity. Transgender females who dress in female clothings are NOT cross dresser, they are dressing in this way as part of requirement they have to go through for one year, before their psychiarists will certify them ready for sex reassignment surgeries. As you can see, the motivation and reason are very different from cross dressers.

There are very limited information about cross dressers and I have to say I know or understand not much about CD.

Seriously, people go to sauna is to get laid/fucked. They are not going there to gather attention or to show off their lingerie.

If you are there to show off or get attention, then you are in the wrong place.

Crossdressing is a minority group in the gay community and the gay sauna is a place where gay people go for sex. I am sure, you don't want to be ridicule or being looked at as attention seeking/weird when everyone is wearing underwear or nothing and you are wearing a 'booty shorts, thigh socks and a crop top' right? You will be dressed inappropriately.

 

I am sure you are used to the weird looks, the gossipy talks behind your back as a crossdresser by the str8. But do you seriously wants to do that in a sauna and amongst fellow gays? Do you need that kind of attention and later ended up going back with blue balls? The choice is yours.

I would hope that there are other places and people where - at your age - you can explore this with in a mutually accepting environment.

 

Saunas are judgey and full of guys thinking only with their dick - you will know very quickly on arrival in a sauna where you stand in the pecking order and those not at the top need to be able to handle this blow to the ego.

If you are seriously considering and the urge is very strong, then you should know that you will be "judged" by those normal human beings. If you heart is not strong to take all the discrimination; from the str8 and even from fellow gays, then you should ask yourself if this is something that you really want to do.

The fact that you are asking; “will people judge me alot or somth”, means that you are not ready for the journey. So, my advice for you is NO.

 

At 18yo, I am sure you are still exploring your sexuality, but unless you have a very strong urge and that you can take the strong criticism and lots of discrimination, I suggest that you do it after you have financial stability, i.e. after you completed your studies and are working and gained financial stability.

 

If you thinks that you will attracts other gays in sauna, just because you dressed sexily (in your mind) and will get gay men excited and come after you in droves; the reality might be the cruel truth.

 

But if your ego is not able to take the rejection and ostracism by those gays in the sauna, then better think carefully before you act.

Yes, absolutely!! If you are good looking and lucky enough,  I am sure you will attract rare admirer who may bring you for a good fuck if that is your ultimate motive.
