I watched it on the big screen and yes, the ending was touching for me too. However, I didn't feel that 'Ming Han' had fallen in love with 'Mao Mao' , but just missed him or his presence, just an opinion eh, haha.

Yup I meant that show. Sorry I posted a topic and was moved here. Edited my post to indicate the show name. I can't read Mandarin well though. Possible to translate to English?

I guess the ending is meant to be open-ended, but he did acknowledge him as his husband in the ambulance, and he did ask Mao Mao's father in the hospital to preside over the wedding ceremony and I am pretty sure he meant that sincerely and didn't say it just to please Mao Mao thinking Mao Mao's soul is going into oblivion.

 

Well, it was a Chinese movie, hence I wrote my after-thoughts in Chinese.

Translating it to English actually would lose some bits of its essence/meaning.

 

Anyway, what I was saying - its name/title was rather long but should be one of the better movies around recently.

While it was a comedy, the movie was also very touching.

Austin Lin & Greg Han were two eye candies who had great coordination/cooperation in the show and Greg Han's 'authentic' vulgarities was something we would be familiar with - based on its similarity in usages.

All should try to watch it while it was still available on the big screen (back then there was no notification that Netflix would be showing).

The ending lack clear explanation of one of the characters...
