correct lor. There is no logic in his argument. I don't know how he pass his maths. Those new citizens votes makes a hell lot of difference. if not for new citizens, perhaps they would have lost 1 or 2 more GRC in 2011. That is why they are so adamant in not restricting "foreign talent". Now are are already inching towards 6m. In 2011, I remember it was only 5.2m.

Taking vengeance against his critic, PAP candidate Shawn Huang Wei Zhong, an air force major, published the details of an ex-colleague who criticised his behaviour at the NDP 2018.

The SAF officer is now facing disciplinary actions for criticising the PAP candidate and she was “internally-POFMA-ed” and forced by her SAF superiors to take down her Facebook post.

Formerly known as Shawn Ingkiriwang, the PAP candidate for Jurong GRC told his supporters the full name and rank of his critic – which he identified as an active SAF Warrant Officer Leo Lin. PAP supporters are now harassing the warrant officer and calling for the SAF to fire her.

The PAP candidate claimed that the Warrant Officer was making life difficult for him, the Parade Commander and a higher-ranked Major, by refusing to issue him a freshly-prepared lunch box that he claimed meant to go into the bin “in the next 30 minutes or so”:

“Usually there would be rations left over and they would have to be disposed in the next 30mins or so. However, the WO in charge would not issue me a set of rations. I tried to reason it out with the WO that the rations would otherwise be disposed anyway. However, the WO insisted, and I decided that rather than pursuing it further I decided to leave the tent and went elsewhere to ask for a pack of food.”

The PAP candidate said he found food at another tent, but did not explain why he returned to the same tent where he later threw the lunch box at the NSFs. Shawn Huang denied throwing the lunch box, and claimed he did it “politely”:

“I found another pack of ration that was leftover. After my lunch. I went back to the tent. And on the table, I found that there was now a pack of food. I told the WO that I no longer needed the ration and politely passed the ration back.”

PAP candidate Shaw Ingkiriwang Huang then claimed that he was unable to respond to the Warrant Officer because she deleted her post:

“I tried to respond to her on the post so as to clarify matters but she has since removed her post. I wish her well and hope to be able to speak to her soon.”

Wah... Win already lo... Haven't gone into Parliament already so big shot can cause truthful Singaporeans to lose their jobs. Go into Parliament then how?

                  (2015: 50.96% vs 49.04%)

 

Very tightly contested based on last elections. WP might even lose due to the AHTC court case plus LTK  and CSM have stepped down.

 

 

2) Hougang SMC - WP vs PAP

                (2015: 57.69% vs 42.31%)

 

Probably will still retain back Hougang. It will be a shock if WP loses Hougang as well.

 

3) West Coast GRC - PAP vs PSP

                                     (2015 with RP: 78.57% vs 21.43%)

 

Could be a real fight there with TCB possibly leading. Will LHY join in too?

SINGAPORE — Facebook has taken down the Fabrications About the PAP (FAP) page, as part of its actions against accounts which violate the social media platform’s policies ahead of Singapore’s coming General Election.

The page, which had more than 250,000 likes, had been inaccessible recently. In response to TODAY’s queries, a Facebook spokesperson confirmed on Sunday (June 28) that the page has been unpublished.

The spokesperson also said that actions have been taken against “several accounts in Singapore for violating our policies”, without disclosing which accounts these are.

“These accounts were discovered during our ongoing proactive work to find and take action on accounts that violate our policies. This action is based on the behaviour of these accounts, not based on the content they posted,” the spokesperson added.

The FAP page is largely regarded as being pro-People’s Action Party and is run by Mr Chua Chin Seng. It had been warned by police in 2017 for breaching election advertising rules during the Bukit Batok by-election.

Earlier this month, Facebook's head of public policy Clara Koh said that since July last year, there have been teams dedicated to Singapore's election, looking out for "coordinated" or "inauthentic behaviour" on the platform.

Traditionally, put any of these SAF scholars into the government or government-linked sectors, and the sectors all get tanked. Put Lim Chuan Poh into A*STAR, and no globally noteworthy research from A*STAR ever came out after spending maybe billions of dollars on those bunch of scientists; Put Neo Kian Hong and Desmond Kuek into SMRT Corporation, and yet the transportation woes still remain; Put Ng Yat Chung into Neptune Orient Line, and NOL still make losses year after year until got sold off. All these guys were ex Chief of Army/Defense in the past some more.

 

Now they still want to put another female BG to become Member of Parliament too. Sigh ....  Singaporeans never learn one lor...

Don't you find it strange that two of the posts inside the article were dated almost just an hour apart on the same day, and the rest were stated "Yesterday" even though there is definitely a possibility that the "yesterday" were all different days? And isn't it strange that all these praises came from Army people, even after he left the SAF and has been with the chief of People's Association for a while? You don't need much CSI skills to feel that all these praises was almost a coordinated effort.

Precisely,  none of his business, he should focus more on his Malaysia,  he failed both first and second time as a PM. If he is good,  we won't get so many ex-malaysian in our parliament, there is none ex-spore in Malaysia parliament. Kayla Low Shu Yu, (Chartered Accountant) and Gigene Wong (CFO in China MNC) 两位的背景朴素又能吃苦。 They both came from poor family, been through tough living hardships like Hazel Poa. 
 

The Government already knew Jalan Besar's peformance and calculated the chances of winning way before ELD release electoral boundaries. 

 

Government has done gerrymandering and this GE is the same. So, new PAP candidates under the umbrella of Minister, the team is very likely to win Jalan Besar GRC. 

 

Most old folks living in Jalan Besar do not care about future of Singapore (CECA, FT, retrenchment, unemployment, birth-rate, University seats for locals, GST, ERP & etc.)

 

They only concern about nice shelter along walkway, upgrading, nice amenities, social assistance approval, rubbish collection, estate washing, no dengue, zebra-crossing, disabled-friendly facilities, free feeder bus service, hawker centre with cheap food, NTUC shopping vouchers, monthly sing song with MP or munching free durian at RC and etc.

I just feel that based on what is happpening in Malaysia, the new might not be better than the old. They said they created the manisfesto without thinking they can win the election. This one cannot be done, that one cannot be done. In the end, all politicians are the same. In order to stay in power, they will start to u-turns and introducing unpractical things like Jawi to win the voters from the major race.

Precisely,  none of his business, he should focus more on his Malaysia,  he failed both first and second time as a PM. If he is good,  we won't get so many ex-malaysian in our parliament, there is none ex-spore in Malaysia parliament. But unfortunately,  he did correctly pointed out " spore do not want to change anything,  sad sad. 

Not that S'pore don't want to change. S'pore is different from M'sia. Their politics got screwed up by Najib that why the ppl need a change. Did PAP did anything so majorly wrong that we need to change the whole govt so drastically during this pademic period??

That's the problem,  that's why i said this year opposition party no chance at all as there is no big mistake made and in the fear of the after covid effect,  sure die...like I mention before,  no one want the opposition party to completely take over but what we need is check and balance in parliament and that can only happen when there is sufficient opposition party voted in.
