It's a very chill relaxed place. People tend to stay longer here, often overnight, people come to relax, sometimes alone and sometimes as a group(family, friends, couples, NS, or ah bengs 黑社会) like going to chalet, and some come to work on laptop, study or talk business too. Food menu is ok, not a lot of options, but generally look and taste quite good quality, better than the average hawker food. K_W Posted November 28, 2025 Posted November 28, 2025 GSpa now got promotion for massage, but is 3 person for the price of two. So unless you go with friends for massage, then you will benefit from this promotion. Quote
kingbitch Posted December 16, 2025 Posted December 16, 2025 It's most definitely a straight establishment. But that doesn't stop gay presence and limited activity. I've been to GSpa several times this year. Being a majority-straight establishment (unlike Yunomori... Joya... Emperor Beitou....), the barrier to action is a lot higher. One must be very sure the other guy is similarly gay / bi and open to action, before you initiate anything. I met a very attractive, VERY hung guy (local Chinese) with a strong baritone voice, and a cock that, even when soft, could cause a total eclipse of the heart. We did some basic chit chat about the sauna temperature, etc. I was totally convinced he was straight. Only a few hours later, when chatting with a (gay) spa acquaintance, that I learned that the hung guy was as gay as me all along. Buffedbear 1 Quote

Been there twice in afternoon but never experience anything unusual. Normal soaking in hot spring naked with people of different ages, but mainly elderly. Didn't know it can be happening. Haha. GSpa also no luck. Lol. Just go there soak, eat and relax. Guess maybe because I usually went from 3pm-8pm, if I have the time. Quote

kingbitch Posted December 19, 2025 Posted December 19, 2025 Emperor in Beitou / Taipei is definitely very gay, you might need to go at better timings though. My partner and I are going to G Spa again tonight, looking forward to the poultry!! Quote
kingbitch Posted December 22, 2025 Posted December 22, 2025 We went to G Spa last Friday and stayed overnight. For both days, they no longer had the ayam penyet (which was a bummer) - but their briyani dish still had the whole chicken thigh+drumstick with curry gravy, so it's still the best choice in the menu. Most of the other options were carbo-heavy. Quote
K_W Posted December 23, 2025 Posted December 23, 2025 Hmmm...... Never come across their Ayam Penyet or Briyani. Only on Weekend? Or it's their Night Snack dish? I like their Curry Chicken and their Hor Fun though. Nice! Seems like most here went for their pool and facilities. Not much mentioned about their massage. Also, seems like not much people used their steam room. I guess it's because the temperature is quite hot. First time I went in find it so difficult to breathe. Now more used to it, but still find it HOT! Haha Quote

Speaking of Emperor sauna in Taipei, has anyone ever managed to bump into the Chinese guy with the legendary 马屌 that is 30cm long and 5cm wide when completely soft? You can Google for more info about him, because apparently i can't post any links or the moderator deletes my post. Quote

kingbitch Posted January 19 Posted January 19 (edited) 15 hours ago, jason said: G spa patrons mostly soak nude or in disposable underwear? About 90% wear the dark blue shorts meant to soak in (the lounge shorts are beige coloured and of a different material). For the older (40+) straight patrons, this does not seem to be due to modesty. Often you see the same guys complete strip, then walk to the showers naked, or from the showers to the lockers - genitals in full view from anyone in the vicinity. In Singapore, the idea of soaking naked communally is still a rarity, but these guys are not shy about their own nudity. The soaking areas have notices telling us to wear the dark blue shorts to soak - the intent is actually to tell us NOT to wear the beige lounge shorts, but I think many patrons read the notice and end up wearing them, even if they had wanted to soak nude. I have seen Chinese and Koreans (who always soak in the nude in their countries) who were reading the noticed, confused. For the <40 straight patrons, most likely it's due to the generational shift towards prudery. You do see the occasional patron soaking nude (of any age, ethnicity, body shape, apparent orientation). K_W Posted January 19 Posted January 19 (edited) 6 hours ago, jason said: Do spa provide a small towel for patrons to cover eg yumomori What if patrons soak nude? Will invite stares? There are free towels around for you to take to dry yourself, or to wrap around your waist, if that's what you are looking for. Or like what others mentioned, you can just walk around in nude, or wear their black shorts. Up to you. Most of the time, people will just mind their own business. No one will keep staring at you when soak nude. If you are super handsome or have great body, maybe, from people like me. 😉 But if you hold a small towel and cover your jewel walking around, I think that will certainly attract stares, cos so far I don't see anyone do that. Haha. One thing I still find it hard to adapt are people are using their handphones at the pool area. Messaging or watching movies etc. Always wonder when will they drop their HP in the pool... 😜 My advice to you, Jason, is to wear their black shorts first. When you think you are comfortable and ready, then you take off the shorts and in nude. Edited January 19 by K_W Quote

When you think you are comfortable and ready, then you take off the shorts and in nude. The mobile phone idea seems common in China and South Korea bathhouses I visited. For them, nudity is so commonplace, they could never think of the possibility that someone might be filming them. Agreeably, I don't think anyone in G Spa walks around with a small towel covering their bits, because they would have worn the dark blue short if they were modest. However, I have seen a few guys who walk around covering their genitals with the big towel simply because they HATE wearing the black shorts, but are rather modest. I do this too when there aren't a lot of patrons. I hate wearing the shorts, but I'm not confident enough............... Edited January 20 by kingbitch Quote

adryan Posted January 31 Posted January 31 (edited) ok, used my 1st-timer $38 entry today (mentioned previously 2 posts above on e offer), i must say it is definitely better than royal club spa many-many la... like some1 said above, how is royal club spa surviving still - food was mediocre, 1 disposable towel n 1 set of disposable clothes to wear nia... thou can request for more as i understand at 1st wanted to nude one, but nobody nude, all wear shorts... only a few mature guys stripped all before going showers nia, so followed la... quite crowded, guess bcos it was saturday but no1 did scrub, so didnt see e scrub staff... gspa will close on: 2 feb, 8am to 3 feb, 10am - company dnd 16 feb, 8am to 19 feb, 10am - cny hols let me comment n compare to yuno onsen instead (my personal view ar)... 1. entry @ $80/$68 (non member/member) includes 24h spa and ala-carte buffet - gspa better! today only tried their self service snacks, ordered carrot cake n char kuey teow already full, didnt manage to order more, lol 2. got 1 hot pool, 1 cold pool, 1 dry sauna, 1 steam room - yuno better as it has multiple hot pools (but gspa steam room cleaner)... gspa's steam room n sauna really hot, couldn't stay for long... lol 3. got 8 curtain showers n 3 open showers - yuno better since can bird-watching with their open/sit showers mah... lol 4. service staff super on and friendly, very service oriented... get u slippers, get u shorts, or get u anything u asked - gspa better! not tt yuno staff rude, but i guess they don have much to do other than give out yukata, lol 5. free flow of towels, shorts/clothes, shaver+cream, toothbrush+paste, combs - gspa better! yuno all got to pay! 6. got 5 toilets n 7 urinals - gspa better! can ask experts here: a. if wanna do scrub - is it must make appt first? b. e resting lounge is e 1 beside cafe, rite? if so like not conducive, kinda noisy... c. can wear own clothes to eat @ cafe? bcos i find their clothes uncomfortable to wear, felt itchy whole body la Edited January 31 by adryan Reddotsss and K_W 1 1 Quote

Agree that the attendance uncles there very friendly and helpful. They also very on, constantly check and clear up the area. So I think they deserve a few dollars as tips before I left. I not expert, but think can help to answer your questions: a. Make appt first as in when you arrive at the counter? Not necessary. If you at the cafe, there's a counter beside the staircase that lead to 2nd floor. Can approach the staff there to help you check if there's any available slot. If you inside the changing room and lazy to put on cloth to go out to ask, can ask the attendance uncle to help you check. Please note that they only have 2 male staff doing the scrub and massage, and they usually do shift since GSpa is 24hrs. So it's better to check and ask in advance. When busy, you may need to wait 1-2hrs. b. Yes. Besides the cafe. That's where people do their leg massage too. Further in there's a half enclosed area with fountain inside. That's also the resting area. Or the movie room at 2nd floor, but of course with sound effect from the movie. c. Can wear own clothes. At least I tried before. That time I super hungry. Just went to locker to keep my stuff and then change to their slipper to proceed to cafe to eat first. After meal then shower and soak. So far seems ok. As long as you still got your wrist band on. However, I think with their clothing, it's easier for their staff to identify you as their customers. I personally find their clothing ok, so most of the time I am wearing their clothing in their cafe. Hope it helps. adryan 1 Quote

K_W Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Agree if only want to use the onsen, Yuno will be cheaper. More pools and more birds, and people there are generally better built and looks. Haha.
