I feel you have paid your debt to society, but nonetheless there would be people who suspect and fear that you may have a streak of violence in you when they see the cane scars. So there are two problems here, one being your embarrassment to show the scars on your buttocks, and the other would be the reception you would receive in the sauna when people see the scars. I suppose the two problems are intertwined, and at the end of the day, you will need to be psychologically prepared to face both these problems if and when you go to a sauna. You can even use it to start conversation if you’re open and upfront (depends on what you did also). when I was in NS one of my platoon mates got caned for loan shark activity. Thereafter, it is either take it or leave it and then move on. There is nothing you can do about it. If you think you are gorgeous looking, then let your confidence do the walking and people may be willing to close one eyes on your unflattering scars.
