How convenient of you to downplay Rui En's case as a traffic case.

The others were minor violations like using handphone while driving.

Rui En... slammed her car into the motorbike, causing major damage to the bike.

The Chinese newspaper Wanbao reported today that television actress Lu Rui En allegedly hit a motorcycle with her black BMW. The motorbike rider said that she smelled of alcohol.
The accident happened yesterday (12 Apr) at about 4.10pm, in the car park in front of Block 332 in Clementi Avenue 2.
The motorbike rider, 52-year-old Bahrom Sarmiten told Wanbao that he realised that his motorcycle had been hit when he heard a loud noise as he was walking to the car park.
He said that he was worried that the driver will drive off without stopping and knocked on her car window a few times before she stopped. Bahrom further said that the actor tried to shield her face, before she found a pair of sunglasses and got-off the car.
The first thing the actor allegedly asked the rider was, “do you know who I am?”
The rider didn’t know who she was but said that “even if she’s a minister’s daughter, I don’t care.” A passer-by later told Bahrom that she was a famous TV actor.
Rui En offered the driver $2000 in cash to privately settle the matter, which the rider refused. He said that his bike was extensively damaged and the money offered would not cover it.
The actor allegedly told him, “I’m giving you $2,000 and it’s not enough? It’s cash, you know?”
Bahrom said that if she had been humble, sounded apologetic and offered more for the damages, he would have settled the matter privately.
The police took the actor away in a police car after giving her a breath test, said Wanbao. The police have confirmed that they are investigating a 35-year-old in the case.

Unfortunately there is a lack of talent in the local scene,  so those from taiwan,  china etc...came over and became popular,  back in their own country, they wont even have any chance as there will be stiff competition.

Chris Lee only had one offence in his 20+ year career. He is not a repeat offender like Shane.

 

Rui En's 'scandals' were not criminal in nature.

- Her hitting a parked motorbike is just her being a bad driver.

- Her saying 'Do you know who I am?' is just her being blunt, which aligns with her reputation. Frankly, I think people hating on her for this comment are just jealous la. She is a celebrity in the sense that she prob can't even go out in peace without people pointing or taking pictures of her. So honestly what is wrong with her checking whether the motorcyclist recognises her or not?

- Her slamming the phone is probably her losing her temper at the other person on the line, not the elderly couple. She prob didn't even realise it. The elderly couple also damn cb, why need to run to the press to complain about her when they could have told her off in person. I'm sure Rui En would have apologised to them if they did so.

 

Quan Yifeng did get into scandal but wasn't she also infamously sacked because of it during the 1990s?

Name me one other host who came over to SG and became an A-Lister here?

 

- Vivian Lai is kelong queen who ownself vote ownself for 10 years but still stuck in supporting roles and treated as a C-lister.

 

- Guo Liang is a B-lister and much less popular than our own local hosts like Mark Lee and Bryan Wong.

 

- Kate Pang won best newcomer but quickly faded out of the scene. Now running a YouTube channel that nobody watches.

 

- Jeff Wang failed to make it here as an actor or a host, so no choice go back Taiwan. Still cannot make it.

 

- Jeffrey Xu up to now still struggling as a C-list actor/host, whereas our own Romeo Tan surpassed him greatly already in both popularity and acclaim.

 

Quan Yifeng deserves credit for making it in SG. 

Can't just dismiss her success by saying 'oh its cos she from Taiwan'.

 

Apart from QYF, the other popular hosts over the years are Jack Neo, Mark Lee, Bryan Wong, Sharon Au and Kym Ng - all Singaporeans.

Well whether you like it anot, no matter how jialat or how flawed her character is, QYF is no doubt the best female host in SG. Even Sharon Au is not as good as her. Kym Ng is likeable but honestly she’s just average as compared to QYF.
