We all know the news. Anyone knows if this church is like one of those that aim to preserve the traditional family? Cos it holds mass weddings in USA and South Korea. And i must say, some of the grooms are gorgeous.

For many, it's very hard to reconcile worshipping a God Who requires holiness and purity in His followers, but then Who also makes some of His followers be born as gay. It's something that straight Christians can never understand.

I always thought most gays are in the Catholic church and become priests? 😂 this as a joke.

 

France has 750,000 Buddhist while 2/3 of them are of Asian origin, Germany has 250,000 while 70% of them are Asian origin. The UK has around 280,000 Buddhists with 80% of them Asian origin...

 

It is still very rare to find a lot of Wiccans or Buddhists in Europe (or the West).

Some eccentric start thinking that they practise Buddhism or "Wiccanism" in the West but it is more or less some self taught

"voodoo" and can't be compared with a Buddhist teaching received in Asia.

Those fed up with Christianity in the West, mostly become atheists.

A big majority of Christians is still on the roll of the Christian religions but doesn't practise or go church etc.

The statistics say otherwise. It seems that more people are becoming Christians in Singapore...

Christianity in other countries around Singapore is a small minority maybe with the exception of Sarawak and some Indonesian areas.

I don't see that these switch to Buddhism.

I think you should qualify that it is the church in the US, which is usually the one spouting homophobic rhetoric and exporting that "theology" to other parts of the world, including Singapore! This has led to the fact that the Christian/Protestant churches in Asia and Africa are much more aligned to the American line of thinking.

 

That said, there are LGBTQ+ friendly churches (not those that pretend to welcome you, but actually want to change you) around.
