Samuel Lim Posted March 8, 2024 Posted March 8, 2024 My favorite chocolates are those adorned with 24k gold leaf. The combination of the smooth chocolate and the delicate crunch of the 24K gold leaf creates a dynamic and satisfying contrast that adds an extra layer of decadence to each bite. The addition of the 24k gold not only enhances the visual appeal of the chocolate but also imparts a subtle hint of luxury and sophistication to the overall experience💕 Quote Curious? radiusulnar Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 I can't say the brand is my favorite because I only tasted three or four times but I like them. When colleagues quit last couple years they like to give Godiva for office pantry as farewell. Quote
j.remini Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 I don't know how to appreciate fancy chocolate, so don't kill me for saying... M&Ms... 😆 Quote

However, it is totally overpriced in Singapore. Buy in Europe or ask people to bring you from Europe (if after reading the post you still intend to buy). But there is plenty of critic online that it is a bit of hype with this brand. What I found strange is that the chocolates come with natural flavouring. Any such high profile chocolate should come without any (chocolate) flavouring. The sugar content is mostly very high also. Further, many airlines have stopped ordering the chocolates from Laederach due to the owner family's religious stance on Homosexuals and abortions. The chocolate testers said that Laederach is on the level of higher end supermarket chocolate brands such as Hachez and Lindt and therefore totally overpriced. => Laederach is more the product of good marketing in trying to place the products on the high end range. Higher quality and justified for their price are for the pralines type: Godiva/ Neuhaus / Bruyerre / Port Corne Royal from Belgium. (but there are other brands also) Mostly as the best chocolate brands are the following: 1) DARK CHOCOLATE: - Dormori Porcelana from Domori - Claudio Corallo Chocolate soft 73½ % from Corallo - 1er Cru de Plantation Los Anconès from Michel Cluizel - Pacari Los Ríos 72 % 2) Milkchocolate - Chocolat Madagascar from (80% chocolate content) from Chocolaterie Robert - Mangaro Lait from Michel Cluizel - Mélissa Criollo from François Pralus Edited December 18, 2024 by singalion Quote

I think Mustafa had some Hachez items, but they were from the normal range. Hachez has some high end quality chocolates if you purchase in Europe or at specialty shops. The one's stated in the earlier post: They offer delivery after a certain minimum payment amount, but I m not sure the sending costs by airplane will be reasonable. While a chocolate bar might be Euro 8 - 10 (for some), Minimum purchase of Euro 100 adds to maybe 2.5kg, but delivery charges will make another 80 Euros (minimum). Chocolates might have melted on the way to Singapore also. If you can afford it, ok. If you're around in Europe, maybe search for a chocolate specialty shop and buy these brands. Only some of the brands have chocolate bars. Further, most of the products from the list refer to pralines and not chocolate bars. Not all chocolate lovers are into pralines. Quote
