I was on a roadtrip with a few friends a few years ago. 

Don’t recall having any issue at all.

But I decided to skip any leisure travel to the US for the Trump 2.0 term. 

I don't think there will be any business travel to US either. 

 

I also try to boycott any American products and services as much as I can. There are sufficient alternatives, peanut butter (non American brands) from Australia, Apples from NZ, chips from UK....

LOL!  I agree, I would not travel to the US for tourism at this time.  But I live in Houston, Texas.  So I DON'T NEED to travel to the US to be in the US.   And life here is not bad, so far.   I have not yet lost hope for the future of the US  (  after the perverted criminal we have now in the White House ), but if I do,  I return to my native country Argentina, which seems to be improving economically and is super nice otherwise.
