cbm Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 The cheapest plans on the market right now are from Whizcomms 2.5gbps at $21.80 per month for 12 month contract (for new subscribers) and Simba 2.5gbps at $20 per month for 12 month contract. I have been on Whizcomms for 4 years and just renewed another 2 years. No issues so far. Since I am not a new subscriber, I don't get the promo rate. I'm paying $26 per month. For whizcomms, the 2.5gbps is combined. Each port max 1gbps so if you have multiple devices and connect 3 ports to their ONR, only then you get to fully utilize the 2.5gps bandwidth. Simba fibre broadband is new. Have not encountered anyone who is on this telco yet so I don't know how good or bad it is. Quote
Guest notMe Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 I am new to using the 4G or 5G LTE router at home, anyone have good recommendation which router ? which service provider ? is it better deal then subscribing the fibre plan ? thank you. Quote
D.0284 Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 if you have a free landline i do not know if simba can port over. also simba does not provide a router. so i guess starhub is one of the best ones currently. Quote
Hungrybtms2 Posted August 23, 2024 Author Posted August 23, 2024 simba seems to be cheapewst of all for 10 gbps. Singtel is still the most expensive Quote
thinking35 Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 From what I know, if you have extra port... you can subscribe to 2 Fibre line (same provider or mixed provider). Simba does not comes with router but with the savings, think can get a good compared to those that are provided free. Higher speed and no contract. Wanted to sign with Simba but at the point my location is not supported by Simba. A week after renew with M1, Simba is supported at my location... wasted. Quote
Simplethoughts Posted January 16, 2025 Posted January 16, 2025 Anyone has any provider to recommend for internet wifi to work for a 4 room flat? The wifi doesn’t reach my bedroom. Quote

bluerunner Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 My home has just upgraded our broadband from the initial 3G to ultrafast 10G under StarHub. With the initial plan, we had no issue except weak WiFi at a certain time of the day, and occasionally WiFi could drop for 2-3sec once a using with the Nokia router. After the upgrade to faster speed 3days ago, every morning, there is absolutely no internet at all!! The StarHub guy has visited 2x for ‘repair’/‘check’. Changed cable, change the router (but not the modem), check connectivity, etc. Sadly, that does not last beyond 24hrs and the issue comes back. Cannot even WFH!! Still waiting for the 3rd visit from StarHub to rectify the issue. Anyone had similar issue? Quote
radiusulnar Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 A cautionary tale to me about not fixing what is not broken. I am on some 512mb plan from long ago and never upgraded. Quote

If after 3rd visit still the same, u should asked them to waive fee until it is fixed. That's what I did! haha robinang 1 Quote
