halitosis could be due to poor oral hygiene, or could be due to underlying liver problems.

usually dental caries or dehydration are the most common causes. If it persist even after visiting a dentist, then the next approach is to visit a doctor.

a lot of the above provides symptomatic relief, but does not treat the root cause if indeed there's one.

With chewing gum still not legal in Singapore, companies that make breath mints should invest heavily in ads which highlight how much better life will be with fresh breath, and saturate advertisements all over the entire country non-stop until there is no excuse for anybody's mouth to stink while in public spaces ever again.

You don't have to worry, even if you did swallow it the low concentration you're using wouldn't kill you. Plus if you use it regularly people have told me you have this bad taste in your mouth for a while. I use a tongue scraper and listerine,

Find out what cause your bad breath first because there are just too many things that can cause it.

While poor oral hygiene is usually the case, not drinking enough water can also cause bad breath too.

So first thing first, improve your oral hygiene immediately, use mouth wash regularly etc. and see if it works.

It was so humiliating and degrading being told by my sraight ex-bf that my breath is so stinky. It smells like rotten egg and he accused me of infidelity and had been drinking cum from other guys which is not true. I was very loyal to him. How can i really remove the smell?

Use mircro pricks to clean out any food particles sticking between teeth and do it nightly after brushing.  Then use mouthwash to clean the entire mouth allowing mouthwash to clean between teeth.  Clean the tongue as well while doing the mouth washing.  See you dentist regularly and check your teeth.

The other two topics on stinky breath are closed at the time of posting but a moderator can merge this post into those threads later. I am usually very conscious about making sure I don't have bad breath but suffered an embarrassing experience last weekend. I always brush my teeth after lunch but was out of toothpaste, so I simply brushed with water and rinsed my mouth, and thought that should be enough.

But there was a problem with my phone service, so I stopped at a shop to ask the staff, and the guy on duty was really hot, but while I was explaining the issue, he pulled his shirt up over his nose and then handed me a mint. I kept explaining but was stunned as that has never happened to me before. The worst part is that I really wanted to flirt with him but had to leave in embarrassment as soon as possible instead.

It sounds like you have quite a serious bad breath problem. If a shop attendant does that to regular customer, they would have complained. If what you said is true, you might want to seek specialist's help.

Brushing teeth regularly helps. But has it got something to do with your diet?

I usually carry around a small bottle of mouthwash, but refilled it the previous night, and accidentally left it at home with my toothpaste when I went outside. Since nobody has ever reacted to me in this manner before, I don't think I have a chronic bad breath problem, especially since I brush my teeth and gargle with mouthwash at least three times per day and also floss nearly every night. This was simply a convergence of bad luck, unfortunately, since I will never be able to approach that cute salesman again due to my eternal embarrassment.

ever tried chlorophyll therapy, try eating chlorella supplements.

research on chlorophyll therapy. it helps.

Chlorophyll from chlorella can absorb bodily toxins.

and pass them out.

try it and then thank me.

you can buy the best. sun chlorella from japan .

or wheat grass powder also.

Have you tried flossing or checking your gums and teeth?

Used to have real bad halitosis until a visit to the dentist found a decaying tooth

Glad I got it extracted

Please re-read my post which you quoted more closely. It says I floss nearly every night. Anyway this week I have been having a bad toothache, so I am beginning to suspect my problem might be a decaying tooth, but the dentist can confirm at my appointment next week.

Thanks. I dread going to the dentist, as most people do, but it's a necessary pain to endure to avoid missing future chances at handsome guys due to bad breath, crooked teeth, or other problems.

Noticed the guys I've met of a certain race tend to have bad fecal breathe. Why do they have such poor oral hygiene practice such as cleaning their tongues and using floss (all the food residue that are stuck will start to rot and produce bad smells). Often I am caught unprepared as the guy looks pretty presentable on the outside until he open his mouth...

It is common to find people with bad breath, be it man or woman. I wonder why?

Its usually due to tonsil stones and not having proper oral hygiene like flossing/tongue scrapping. Fyi brushing teeth does not prevent or reduce bad breathe because the smell is coming from the tongue all the way down to the throat!

I am glad to see two posts in this thread that reveal the benefits of OIL PULLING.

I learned about this effective procedure several years ago when my bf developed a cavity in his deepest molar, which the dentist could not reach and recommended to have it pulled out. The dentist's assistant, a nice lady, out of empathy confidentially recommended this procedure to my friend, which not only stopped the progression of the cavity but cured it.  I started using it too, and in the last three years I have had no dental problems, something new to me.  Dentists won't reveal oil pulling because it goes against their business:  the cost of the coconut oil is negligible compared to the minimum cost of a visit to a dentist.

What I notice in the above video is that this girl is making something simple complicated.  It does not have to be a "raw" oil,  any coconut oil in the grocery store will work.  This oil is solid at low temperatures and melts at about room temperature.  It is not necessary to use the huge amount shown in the video, but a level teaspoon of the oil is sufficient.  It does not need to be held in the mouth for 20 minutes, but 5 minutes is sufficient.  It does not matter at what time in the day one does this oil pulling.  And brushing with a special toothbrush, blah, blah, blah, is also not essential.  So it is very simple:  once a day take a teaspoon of coconut oil into your mouth,  if it is not liquid it will melt in the mouth, and swash it around between the teeth for 5 minutes or longer,  then spit it out into the trash.  With this, you may be able to forget about periodic checkups, cleanings, x-rays,  etc.  which fatten the income of dentists!

We (bf and me) also added the use of a "water pick",  a fine stream of water at pressure that cleans in between the teeth and gums, and can also be used to clean the tongue to counter any bad breath.  This is similar to a tongue scraper, but it does not make one gag so much.   In addition to this,  one can still floss and brush with a good toothpaste.  Oral hygiene is very important considering the blessing of reaching old age with one's original teeth still in the mouth  :)

It's definitely not as effective as a tongue scrapper, the food particles are extremely stubborn.

Also the benefits of having a gag relax causes you to cough out mucus and tonsil stones stuck in the throat, so it's killing two birds with one stone.

Maybe,  but I hate to gag!  I don't want to dull this reflex but keep it sharp for when it matters (to avoid that an object goes down the throat).

Have you ever used a "water pick"?  The force of its water stream is strong and effective.

My doctor advised me to drink plenty of water. He also advised against using those metal tongue scrapper as it can hurt the tongue accidentally. Just use a toothbrush to lightly brush the tongue.

Personally I brush 3 times a day and floss every night.

Any good recommendation on mouthwase that is not alcohol and mint based?

Who What Wear lists their top ten non-alcohol mouthwashes, many of which are also mint-free, but I don't know if all of those brands are sold in Singapore.

Guest Check your throat

99% of the cases of bad breathe due to bad teeth resulting from poor oral hygiene or most likely tonsil stones. It has a sulphuric/rotten egg smell which is easily identifiable. Most likely due to sucking too many dirty cocks or french kissing someone with a dirty mouth!

To me, bad breath is one thing on the top of my list that I can't tolerate. But there was once, at Play, a dude was talking to me close to my face, I think he had some sweet alcohol, the scent was actually not bad. Lol. But only that once.

Use mouthwash after brushing of you are wearing braces
