imchaser Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Forget those tear-jerking Thai insurance commercial series. This new Thai commercial have to be the new best and most beautiful commercial ever, like oh my God. Ive watch it for 20 times non stop. If this was to show in an adverisement in a cinema before a movie start, i would've pay the tickets just to see the advertisement. Believe me its that good. See it your self and give your comments.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Um9KsrH377A...feature=related Quote Volunteering for the underwear association for third world countries. imchaser Posted November 14, 2008 Author Posted November 14, 2008 An classic epic battle between the spoilt rich popular piano student vs the deaf poor humble violin student. Though i have to admit, the piano classical number she played is way more difficult and hard to play piece than the violin number. Just because the violin number is the popular Canon in D doesnt make her the winner of the contest. haha. Spoiler. Quote Volunteering for the underwear association for third world countries. Guest Blind Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I find such message intolerable: It is like encouraging people to buy lottery as a way of life just because there is a winner in every lottery. Quote
silversailorduo Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I'm sorry, but the emotional effect it tried to achieve fell apart when the deaf girl started showing swinging her Pantene hair all over the place. lol Quote
Guest guest Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 So Pantene is associated with the poor and deaf...or that if one is poor and deaf will become rich and famous after washing with pantene shampoo...? or its saying that pantene shampoo is so affordable that even the poor and deaf can afford, and be successful after washing with it...?I dun get it? help? Quote
Eragon Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 The message is You Can Shine. It is selling the 'spirit' of the brand. Way more creative than your stereotypical TV commercial ideas of mother passing down secret of her beauty to daughter over a cup of tea or boyfriend fall in love with girlfriend's long silky beautiful hair running his finger down slowly or (if you do remember) I'm so gorgeous but I m your high school teacher silly line, on T.V. I think it's cool, it tells a story. Makes me wana go grab a Pantene now and hopefully tomolow at the club I can miraculously play the sax to woo some cutie at the bar! :smokin: Quote

A great ad are supposed to be inspirationing and extremely creative. even if u r so direct ppl still wont buy your product because nowadays audience r very hard to be convinced. So they are trying to relate the value and building the brand awareness by presenting such a beautiful story.whoa... that was an awesome commercial i must say.. made me weep like a baby.. hehe..you guys should check out the commercials done by Petronas too.. for festivals like hari raya, deepavali and cny.. very heart-tugging and emotional too.. Guest Taipei Old Bird Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Am currently in taipei for my CNY holiday and saw this TV commercial. It is a real story and it has been shoot into a TVC. Below are the brief description of the story background. Appreciate if anyone can translate to English for those who don't understand Chinese還記得3年前,台南一位不懂外語的徐媽媽,到委內瑞拉幫移民美國的女兒做月子,結束後自己一個人,拿著一張女兒幫她寫的翻譯小抄,坐了4趟飛機,花了4天,才回到台灣,她的勇敢故事,現在被翻拍成電視廣告,感動的記憶再度被喚起。 Quote

Popular Post GachiMuchi Posted September 14, 2013 Popular Post Posted September 14, 2013 Minute Commercial Puts Full-Length Hollywood Films to Shameby Neetzan ZimmermanIt certainly says something about the state of Hollywood today that a three minute ad produced at a fraction of the cost of most movies is more moving and poignant than almost anything the big studios have to offer. The Thai telecommunications conglomerate True is getting rave reviews worldwide for its latest spot, "Giving," which tells the story of a man unexpectedly rewarded for a lifetime of good deeds he performed without expecting anything in return.TrueMove too says it "believes in the power of giving without expecting a return."Which would probably be more meaningful if they were to, say, give away their services and devices for free. Which they are not.But what the company lacks in commitment to its own philosophy, it more than makes up for in inspirational advertising. Daydreamerz Posted September 14, 2013 Posted September 14, 2013 I have to admit I'm a sucker for such cliche scenes... *blush* Quote
wheeze Posted September 16, 2013 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) While that's touching, I don't think that happens all that much in real life. EDIT: To clarify, I'm talking about the video in original post. The following is more inspiring to me personally, because such occurrences happen much more regularly, and I've had similar experiences, so I can definitely relate to them. http://youtu.be/7PUbQRXNwNo If anyone can find a higher-quality vid of it, I'd appreciate you posting it. This was about the best I could find. From what I'm able to google, this was a mash-up of a set of commercials originally run by Liberty Mutual Insurance (with different music/voiceover). The mash-up with this music was done by a random individual. People seem to be just spamming this video on their own channels nowadays to gain views. No clue which one is the original video upload, and I'm guessing the copyrighted song might have gotten the original video removed. Annoying. Pay it forward; at least credit the original uploaders (even if it's just the insurance company, which took me a while to figure out too with the lack of information!), no? If anyone can find a higher-quality vid of it, I'd appreciate you posting it. This was about the best I could find. Found a slightly better quality version recently (where you can much more clearly see the "Liberty Mutual Insurance" copyright), and since the one I posted had been removed, here you go I find this to be a much less cliche and more realistic version of "Pay It Forward", which is idealistic but unrealistic in my opinion. And because it's more realistic, it's much more inspirational to me. iamziz 1 Quote
jonathan1456 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Life is a great journey if we decide to share it with others using kindness, mercy, concerns and love.Even a stranger that comes into our life for that brief moment deserves a smile of encouragement or acknowledgement. So be more aware of the people around you and less on the mobile that you are so attached to all the time.Blessings abound if only we are all more giving to each other in our way of living.
