:thumb: reflection, u got a good ons with Gurkha. His below really that big? Want to be screw by them.... :P . In Tekong abit hard to get them as it is a SAF camp. Are they really friendly????

Get your platoon mates in Takong to pretend to be Gurkha. :D What you can do -- find some Gurkha poster boy pic (not sure if you can find on the net), make in into a mask and get your platoon mate to wear it .....:D

If not, do something so that you'll be transfer to Mount Vernon Camp -- where the Gurkha soldiers are located. Good Luck !!!

You can be a tour guide to Nepal for the PLU here...

Guru... Cannot la...

What I know is picked up from conversations with them only....

As for tour guide, :D only if going MBC / ABC, other places, cannot... :P

Saw them at nearby kopi shop junction of Upper Paya Lebar and Bartley Road, 5 years back.

Donno they are Gurkhas or Napelese. They look serious but friendly once they know you.

Are they still there? any update?

Upper Paya Lebar / Bartley Road.... 98% they are Gurkhas.

Nepalese, onnly if they are family members, but usually quite young as they are dependents of the working Gurkhas.

The Gurkhas hangout include coffeeshops around Joo Seng Road...

All these area are within walking distance from their quarters. :D

They sure to be there.

I think you can see the Gurkha servicemen in and around Upper Aljunied area. I was on the bus today and saw a few of them wearing their sunday best waiting at the bus stop opp their camp. They looked gorgeous. :D Near that area is a big park (formerly a cemetery and just behind the un-used Mrt station) where they are often found jogging.

Well debated. But I am looking at wiki...

Gurkha, also spelled as Gorkha, are people from Nepal who take their name from the eighth century Hindu warrior-saint Guru Gorakhnath. His disciple Bappa Rawal, born Prince Kalbhoj, founded the house of Mewar.

Seems like this is a taken name, it means Gurkha are in fact Nepalese. Maybe one can be a Gurkha and stop being one later...

But, I think MM has his point. Although some of us are all not powderful in England, its good to have someone like MM to point out our mistake. Its good to learn isn't it?

It's just me.... Asura... don't fear, but be very afraid....

what's the matter with you......

gee.....

dun disturb!

Just a little history (for general knowledge purpose la :D

The Gorkhas (or called Gorkhalis) are fighting men from the mountain kingdom of Nepal - Rai, Magar, Limbu, Gurung and Sunwar tribesmen.

In the 1812 Nepal war, the British sent a force of 30,000 against 12,000 Gorkhas. The Gorkhas fought the British to a standstill.

After suffering heavy casualties in the invasion of Nepal, the British East India Company ("EIC") signed a hasty peace deal in 1815, which also allowed it to recruit from the ranks of the former enemy.

Following the partition of India in 1947, an agreement between Nepal, India and Britain meant four Gurkha regiments from the Indian army were transferred to the British Army, eventually becoming the Gurkha Brigade.

The Gurkhas (as they are now known) has been part of the British Army for more than 200 years. Nowadays, young Nepalese are recurite yearly from all over Nepal and not just the 5 regions mentioned earlier.

If you noticed, those countries with a Gurkha Contingent are mostly those who were once British Colony (e.g. Singapore and India)

For those who are interested and want to know more, I suggest the following:

Well back to the men.

Their camp/quarters is at Mount Vernon and on any evening, from 5pm onwards you can see them jogging along Bartley Road. Upp Paya Lebar, Upper Serangoon Road and Upp Aljunied Road. Guess its part of their keep fit regime, They jog in small groups to pace themselves and some of the women also jog to keep fit.

Most of the men jog in shorts and t shirts or singlets. They have great legs and toned bodies. Have only seen one jogging topless before. Even the older ones who could be called chubby uncles look rather good,

I work in the area so see them on days when I leave office before it gets dark.

Happy viewing

Personally, I've seen a few Gurkhas myself jogging around the old Bidadari cemetery before, and I do think that some of them are HOT! :P

Those are usually the more senior Gurkhas (in term of service years).

The younger ones (aound 20 years old) will "appear" only during the weekends. :D:D

Recenly, people have been criticisng Gurkha for MS escaped. It is unfair to pin-poiint fingers at our brave and friendly nepalese friend for the lapses. Why don't everyone start scewing MIW for building such lousy and escape-friendly detention center. I have seen gurkha a few times in my life and these are friendly people and they have never get nasty with me and more so in their uniform. Why don't these stupid forumners go get fxxked and spar one-to-one physically with them to see who fxxked the best. Have pity on them, because they don't have proper tool to fxxk except their fat and ugly wifey. It was already pitiful for them and these people worked all days and night to keep us save. I don't understand why forumners don't have passion for the tough & yet culture rich gurkha. So leave my Gurkha alone!!!! :swear:

Visiting nepal anyone? :P

There is a ghurka community along upper aljunied road , should be able to find some there, try the jogging in the evening along the road , they usually jog when the sun goes down.

Even can see them there also no use........there is a cliche - you don't shit where you eat.........So dont' think they will express interest (around their community)........well, if they frequent a certain place like Serangoon Shpping Centre etc, then can go and try your luck..........

sometimes I feel that those girls are so lucky. To get to fcuk with these hunky and handsome ghurkas. Though its prostitution, with all their inane risks and dangers, these girls have it real good. I'm sure some of the girls will actually look forward to spending some time with them.

What i would do to have a ONS with a ghurka.

do they have manhunt competitions?

I think very difficult lah, first these guys are already from the traditional or conservative type of culture, then they are in the police force, then many of them have their wives here, and not all of them here (some are in UK etc), the probability is reduced and reduced and reduced.............

Why is there a need to envy? They are very friendly people and quite easy to know them (as friends and not anything else). Due to my work previously, I too know many of them and have even visited their home in Nepal.

They are very easy going people.

However, for them, after a couple of years in S'pore, the married ones can bring their family members over..... Thereafter, they will "stick" very much to their family.

It is those who just joined, the very young ones and not married, who are living alone in S'pore.
