shyc
Just came to realise it is no longer an easy task to just walk into a shop/store and buy decently priced speedo-style triangular swimming trunk for guys. Very limited stores and most only carry Jammers or beach shorts. 🤔

I find I have more choices there. Cheaper too. Reputable brands like those worn by competitive swimmers sell mostly jammers and racers though. Speedo cut (aka triangle shaped ones) is getting lesser over the years. Sigh. Bring back those glorious tiny swimwear days!! shyc

I started looking thru online and many that I had a fancy to only have ‘M’ sizes and above. Totally new with all this online buying, so lost. Not sure if I should give it a try or just switch to jammers too from physical stores.

Note to follow the sizing especially it is from china. They don't follow ours Edited December 7, 2023 by Balestier shyc

In most of the China brands, the M fits the regular S/XS. Even skinny uncle like me have no problem w their M size (which is the smallest available size, usually). ☺️ p/s: Annoying AF that for every post we made, someone made 2 posts promoting himself. Every threat with keyword ‘underwear’ or ‘swimwear’ you see him there. 🙄 Edited December 10, 2023 by bluerunner

Hurts even more when people your own age rejects you. Shopee sell cheap grandmother panties. You can do striptease for your imaginary audience. No need to be supermodel of the world. Wireless_starhub
May I ask if you all think there is a demand for Japanese swimming trunks from arena or mizuno and how much are you willing to pay? Each piece cost like $50 - $70…

shyc
Didn’t realise triangular style swimming trunks prices gone so high up. My recent quest to hunt for them in store was mostly fruitless as most stores only carry beach shorts or swimming jammers now. So had resorted to online which cost less than S$10 but definitely much thinner quality. Have yet to use them so not sure how long it will last. My previous Arena or Waveline lasted few years and I do swim almost daily in the past. Unlike some folks I seen who changes or rotate their trunks, I only use one each time. As I felt once you used it the Lycra material will eventually wear off or perhaps my old fashion mentality. After all I am there just to do my swim not doing a fashion show (nothing much to show either). Imho only. Frankly don’t understand why or when a small piece of triangular cloth now cost so much more than my tees? 😏

Guest Guest
It's so expensive because it's made in Japan. Those local swimwear like Tyr are much cheaper and quite sexy too. I especially like the square cut type with the V shape crotch in front.
singalion
I m more interested what is below... ha ha. I know some guys were a bit disappointed when they did not get the comment on their supposed to be hot swimming trunk or underwear... But I just don't have the sense to find anything special. It is more the body and person that shapes someone, the other is just an add on.

I want trunks that are sexy and almost illegal to wear in public but still subtle enough for a pool filled with kids. Unlike those days when u can see it physically in the stores. Infact some stores even allowed trying on back than. Interesting trunks above. I rather prefer smaller or narrower sides. The idea of the zipper seems kinky but rather risky if swimming with mischievous friends… 😂 😝
fenghou
@shyc well there is one remaining retailer surviving and they are for the gay crowd - Male HQ. I am not a high income earner so their trunks while I can afford them, are excessive in terms of price for my secret-slut purposes. I swim alone, the zippers will get lose overtime so need to buy new ones.

fenghou
@bluerunner there are things brick-and-mortar store offer that online retail shop cannot. Cutting and curves for example, you can look at all the photos of it online but you have to try it in person to understand the exact fit... they also sell brands where if you buy and import yourself will cost more. It's just that I have my expenses covered for other areas in my life, I don't think it's fair to dismiss them like that. I appreciate their store and many specialty brick-and-mortar shops Male-HQ
