Juz felt a lil bit emo, over a straight fren, who was my university coursemate and First Year roommate, from the same hometown with the same dialect group lineage and same age, who promised that he will make effort to find time to spend with me, even though if he has a gf, but now, he's like far away from me in his pursuit of love, that I wrote the following poem. Juz to share it here. Sorry that I wrote it in Malay, but these are what came to my mind then:

Berapa kali anda rasa diri dibelakangi?

Meskipun dengan kata-kata janji

Yang terucap di bibir manusia

Yang dianggap teman setia?

Waktu menemuimu

Aku teruja

Kerana kami dua insan serumpun

Banyak persamaan antara kami berdua

Namun kian kau berdiri jauh

Atas nama kasih cinta

Bukan keinginanku untuk menghalang

Bahkan aku restui jalinanmu dengannya

Tapi sudahkah engkau lupakan kata-kata janji

Yang masih terngiang-ngiang di telinga aku?

Kerana serumpun kau lafazkan janji upaya

Untuk meneruskan persahabatan ini?

Sayangnya

Peredaran masa telah berlalu

Rasanya ingatanmu dah luntur akan janji itu

Bagai sekelip mata

Berlalunya tiga tahun

Pahit rasanya di kalbu

Bila teringat waktu kita bersama

Bila teringat haruku engkau tidak kisah kecil hatiku

Bila teringat sakit hati melihat pecahnya kulitmu

Titisan air matamu

Kini aku berada di perantauan

Khabarnya engkau juga di rantau yang sama

Namun aku tidak tahu kini di mana engkau

Setakat tahu kegembiraanmu dilamuni cinta

Di Mukabuku

Jikalau kau sudah lupa

Tidak mengapa

Kiriman salam imlek akan kuhantar jua

Kerana aku masih mengingatimu

Wahai sahabatku

Supposed write a thesis statement for class:

Many Singaporeans are compelled by society to appear happy in order to put up a facade that is better accepted socially.

In turn, it does not allow them to reveal their true attitude towards life.

But it's so weak! Like, does not reveal true attitude towards life so what?

I am going to gym so much till I defeat my straight crush. I am going to level up so much till my palms are all sore from blisters. I CAN DO IT!

Good luck! I wish I were as motivated as you are! :)

Beginnings come at random,

But endings will always have a reason.

Yesterday’s tears and today’s smiles will stay true

We’ve experienced the same pain, we’ve gathered the same kindness

And we’ll turn them into the strength to live on tomorrow"

it's not random if you think it's not.

if it is random at the start... it would also be random at the end... convergence and divergence is all part of our life...

share this quote I read somewhere... "When someone leaves your life, that person is not a bad person. It is just that his part in the story of your life is over."

thought about it for a few nights... i think it's really funny though, that someone whom i finally actually felt something with, is someone i can never be with forever.

i decided to let go. i know i like him a lot now, and all the more i need to stop myself. maybe he knows, but i'm just really thankful that i can feel that "Days" feeling again, after like 3 years? i finally felt it again, how it's like to actually like someone... i'm thankful for that.

i guess, knowing anyone here at Shanghai basically means i must never like them, because knowing that i'm gonna leave in another few months is so selfish of me... yet i felt so much whenever i went out with him... but ah, life is unfair and dreams are but dreams.

when i'm back at sg...there goes my chances at any ltr, haha.
