No idea what the exact mix is as we adopted him in May this year.The girl we got him from said she was giving him away cause her friend was the original owner who kept him in a cage for 5 years and was now having a baby so didn't want to continue having a dog (kind of a horrible way to treat a dog and then still want to have a baby). So this girl took him in but he kept fighting with her two dogs. Poor guy had a tick infestation and was really itchy the first two days we got him till we could get him to a groomer. They confirmed that he had a tick infestation and proceeded to shave him bare to get rid of the ticks. We were up in KL visiting and he was in hospital since Saturday last weekend. Julius was a puppy about 4 months old. He had weak lungs and had bouts of wheezing and breathlessness. A strong fighter nonetheless, he pulled through several rounds of hospital stays fighting asthma and pneumonia. This last round just proved too much for his little body to take. The doctors couldn't find his veins to put in the drip and with his purging over the weekend since he was admitted, the poor pup just became too weak to hold himself up. Carried in the loving hands of my aunt and cousin, he tried to resist the ease of suffering before finally relenting and relaxing into the embrace of the lady who first fell in love with him. With fluids starting to slowly drip out, she held on, oblivious to anything else, except embracing and loving her pup who was now gone for just one last time. Dear Julius, you have captivated our hearts in many ways, even for some who have just met you this week as you were in hospital. We didn't get to carry you or play with you like others have, but we still love and adore you the same. Take care little one. Caesar (the alpha male at home; pictured in the front) and all of us will miss you.
