How To Make A Change Away From Familiarity?

I have been working in a specialised jobs for a long long time. Suddenly I hated it so much that I wish I leavel that comfort experience and do something different. To do something that there will be no turning back. I wonder how.

It is not like suddently you become vegetarian or you decided that you wanted to slim down. The decision is about leaving a place, a job, a friend you are familiar for a better life. The yearning is there, but I don't know how to start, where to go to find a different life. It is my dream for a change. I find it so difficult. Anyone care to give me a hint or share your experience if you have taken that first step to a different life?

If you think you want to do it, why not? but prepare yourself for the period before you find your next job.

Think of what you want to do, throw letter, move in that direction, don't look bad?

Being jobless seems to be the next most stressful thing in life...

----- why cant life be bigger than facing constraints and making decisions -----

If you have a roof over your head(or can find one with fren/relatives/parents) and are loan free...you can take the plunge anytime...its not that expensive yet to survive simply here.

However i do suggest you take time off first as maybe its just a badly needed break.

Since you are specialised then no other job will pay you the same just yet. All this considered...feel free to take the leap of faith.

BTW no need to look back...no need to regret...its a path you took so make the best of it.

i did it................ though initially it looked like a bad decision...it worked out in the end. ;)

Contrary to what most people said here, I would suggest you take a long holiday or break first before deciding if you *really* want to quit. There's no need to make hasty decisions while you're upset.

Like what marineboy said, maybe all you needed was a break. Go do something different, volunteer at an animal shelter or old folks home, or even helping out Oogachaga for some of their activities.
