What Do You Look For In A Restaurant?

Hey guys I'm gathering some information about how people living in Singapore make their decisions when dining out. Maybe it'll be interesting to some of you guys out there as well. Here are some questions that you can answer :D

1. How old are you? Lol. Age groups i.e. 21-25, 26-30 can be used too.

2. How often a week do you dine out per week at a restaurant (casual/upscale)?

2a. When you do, how often do you choose seafood?

2b. How much % of your income do you end up spending on these outings?

3. What do you prioritize in a restaurant? Here's a list that might help you:

a. food quality

b. price

c. service

d. value

e. location

f. convenience

4. What does "good service" to you mean?

5. What do you see lacking in Singapore restaurants nowadays? or What would you like to see?

You don't have to answer all if you don't want to, but of course it's more helpful to me the more of them you answer, heh.

Hope i answered your questions.

1. 25 yrs old

2. 2~3 times a week casual to upscale depending on my friends and the people i hang out with

2a. Seafood will definitely depends on the cooking style and ingredients used

2b. Again subjective. 10-20%? I never really take note..

3a. In order: Ambience, Price, Food Quality, Value

4. Again subjective. If i am paying Service Tax i definitely want better service such as help me refill water promptly..

5 .Quality food. Don't mind paying abit more if it tastes great and the portions are slightly bigger.

Hahas, HAI. Alrighty then, I'm here to help!

1. 21

2. Usually 3+ days a week, I cater to my friends too- Usually around $10+?

2a) I rarely go to pure seafood restaurants. So not much help there. :x

2b) WHAT INCOME. LOLS. Otherwise most my $$ is spend on food yup.

3. Food Quality > Service > Value > Ambience > Convenience

4. Being attentive, helpful, smileeeeeyyyyy, enthusiastic. Someone who will fulfill your requests/ needs even before you voice them out. But LOLS maybe that's a bit too idealistic.

5. I wanna see more original and outstanding concepts/ ideas in both food and restaurant style. Like maybe a restaurant with quartet musicians/ pianist on the grand piano :P HAHAS. OKAY. I'm just going to sound silly if I type in more.

I'm not in Singapore, but I do dine out frequently as I don't cook.

1. 38

2. 5-6 days a week (casual to upscale)

2a. 3 out of 5 meals I prefer to seafood.

2b. Mostly it is business related when I dine out.

3. Food, Service, Price, Location, Convenience, Value (Sometimes a good wine list helps too)

4. Good service means being attentive to my needs. I.e. Never have to ask for my glass of water or wine to be refilled. Friendly wait staff.

5. Food deconstruction.

Love.
