abang Posted December 9, 2013 Report Share Posted December 9, 2013 There are still many interesting places in West Malaysia that I have yet to (re-) visit..Places like Lumut, Langkawai which are on the SAFE side of monsoon floods this time of the year. One thing:I did a quickie trip to KL to attend a memorial service (on behalf of my mom).KL is still as crazy - The traffic along the North-South Highway is always going to chaotic.. 2 accidents involving Singapore-registered vehicles/drivers over the weekend. The charmng side to me is Petaling Street.Call me nostalgic - walking along the Chinatown enclave brought back all the childhood memories in 小坡 where I lived for 29 years. .. The beef tendon 牛筋面 in 丽丰茶室 is still my favourite... and throwing caution to the wind, 金莲记 的炒面 the super(b) sinful black noodles from Jin-Lian (yes, loaded with lard!) comes in a close-second. Perhaps I should gather some BWers (oldies especially) to do a slow. free and easy makan tour to West Malaysia soon...Any one interested?
