After the JB Immigration complex Sultan Iskandar before walking the link bridge to City Square, downstairs Jalan Jim Quee, at the end is a taxi stand with fixed pricing (fee will be depending on the distance)Ā

Mostly, there are sufficient drivers around.Ā

Often it is faster to get somewhere than calling a Grab that might be stuck in the traffic jam.Ā

Instead of hotels I often take an appartment like Airbnb, most hotels are quite overpriced for JB.Ā

I am from Australia and visiting singapore. I am wanting to do a day trip in JB and wants to visit Artemis or Healing spa.

Can you please share if its safe to visit such place as it's a muslim country. Do they conduct raids for men/gay spa massage places?

I visited Artemis few times. It is safe. Heavily monitored by CCTV and need to pass through 3 locked doors before you can enter. on my visit on May, I manage to meet the owner himself. According to the owner, all their branches either in JB, KL or Penang are "protected". I mean they kind of pay protection money to the authorities. That what most gay massage parlours do I think. Lol

Visit the places that are recommended here and most probably you won't get any issues in visiting such parlours and even when expecting some more than the massage itself.Ā

Raids are common when there are complaints on illegal workers, working as massagists in these places.Ā 

But this will affect the establishment and workers and not so much the customers.Ā
