According to the charge read before magistrate S Arunjothy, the offence was committed at Positive Leader Sdn Bhd, also known as Otot2, in Chow Kit, here, at about 8pm, on Nov 28, 2025. The charge was framed under Section 20(1)(c) of the Trade, Business and Industrial Licensing (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) By-Laws 2016, punishable under Section 38 of the same law and read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code. They face a fine of up to RM2,000, or imprisonment of up to one year, or both. For a continuing offence, a further fine of up to RM200 per day may be imposed after conviction. In the same court, a 63-year-old spa employee pleaded not guilty to possessing a mobile phone containing obscene videos. He was accused of committing the offence at the Dang Wangi police headquarters at about 11.15am on Nov 30, 2025. The charge, under Section 292(a) of the Penal Code, carries a jail term of up to three years, or a fine, or both.
