When you take a shower before the onsen, do you usually have another guy naked beside you at Yunomori? 

After the shower you would just go naked and go to the onsen area?

I haven't been there so I have to ask .

Yeah. All naked only a small towel to fend for yourself. Usually its useless though

After you made payment, they will give you a hand tag. You just bring that hand tag and go in locker area. Then you take off everything and locked them in the locker by scanning your the hand tag they given. There are two towels inside locker which prepare for you. You just need to take small towel out and slide the glass door and go into the shower area before you enjoy your onsen. After slide that door, everyone is naked and barefoot. Slipper only available in locker area, before you go to shower area. The slippers are just for you to enter the sole toilet there only... Hope my reply do help you
