IkuTube Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Thread Started By: Andy@Tokyo Posted: February 20, 2008 06:47 pmFor the past few days, i was down with flu.. though this is not the first time, its the worst ever since i came to japan. Anyway, it got me to start this thread. Hopefully, others BWers would also kindly add on to(or comment on) what i have suggested. On Japan1) The humidity is very low. Hence, ur skin dries up fast. Best to bring along moisturizer. Also bleeding might occur from the nose (One BWer had a slight problem with bleeding nose coz too many guys of his type instead, hehe).. do purchase the medication from the pharmacy before u come. If not u might need help from the hotel staffs.2) The level of flower pollen grains goes up to high level (this year, from end of feb to summer?) if u have allergy to pollen grains, do where a facial mask to help reduce contact. Before u enter ur hotel room dust urself completely to reduce the amount of pollens u bring into the room. Don’t open the windows where possible.3) If u fall ill during ur period of stay, ask the hotel staffs to recommend doctors. It would be more expensive coz, tourists don’t have health insurance but u have no choice.4) Porridge stalls are rare. However, u can get instant porridge from the convenient stalls or supermarket easily. Normally, they are already cooked. So u just need to heat them up.5) If u get into any trouble or accident don’t message me coz it might be too late. Instead call 110 (police station, like 999). Think they would have people who could speak in English. If fire occurred while u are banging someone call 119. Don’t not continue banging.. instead search for a fire extinguisher, they should have it ard, if not sue them.
