If my black car has some white scratches, is there any car grooming tips to 'cover up' making it less obvious?

i think some polishes already have the abilities to "cover up" the scratches alr leh. i am using one and i think it is not bad.

my car's recirculation function seems to be not working liao, sometimes when i drive i can smell smoke from other cars..

Either you accidentaly opened the vent to let in air from the road outside or your filter in the air recirculator need s to be changed.

my opinion

lol just send it to the groomer's, lah. They should be able to polish it off unless it's particularly deep then a respray might be needed.

Which car model is most suitable for car fun?

Only passenger cars. Don't count vans, buses, trucks and lorries.

Must be:

Spacious

Discreet

Let's vote:

1. Alphard/vellfire?

2.

5. Hyundai Tucson

6. Toyota Altis (done before, a little cramped but doable)

7. Mercedes-Benz S350 (done before in father's car, the smell of expensive leather and the engine quietly purring while I drove and got my dick sucked made the experience even more comfortable)

8.

CRV is such an underrated car. My dad had it for 10 yrs and after he passed on, I extended the COE and drove it for another 5 yrs. Throughout the 15 yrs, it has hardly given us any major issues sans the usual oil change, tyre replacement, aircon gas top up etc. I am now driving 2017 2.4L model and love every bit of the commanding high driving position and wide wheel base stability.

I totally agree man. I love CRVs - the older models had a masculine and rugged look and the seats inside are somehow always very plush. But the latest model looks more posh and sleek, and it uses the horrible EarthDreams CVT gearbox that sounds like a washing machine when the car is revved hard.

I like SUVs in general: the Forester/Tucson/CRV/RAV4 are all cars I'd gladly pick haha.

haha it's the same here for me. I never have to ferry anyone as most of my friends drive and I don't live with my family, but I like the boot space and practicality of these cars (I can just fling my gym bag and shoes into the boot, or when I want to bring my dog to the park).

These days I'm trying to get a car that I actually like rather than a car that might make financial sense. If I just wanted a point A to B car I'd have gotten a Mitsubishi Attrage or Hyundai Accent already, but I like motoring and positive driving experiences so I don't mind spending a bit more on it. :)

not that I can tell, to be honest. People who need a car, need a car. And many young people still seem to want to own a car - seeing from first-hand experience at the showroom how many people below 35 still come and buy their first car (we know because no trade-in).

Buy new or preowned?

now that COE is low, better to buy new. Coz most of the pre-owned cars have COEs above $40,000, which means you lose $4,000 per annum on the COE itself - compared to the current $25,920 where you only lose $2,600 on the COE per annum. :)

Anyone went to the motorshow? Anyone notice majority SE at the audi booth are cute with hot bod?

Those with bowties aren't SCs - they're models Audi hired to assist the SCs during the motorshow. The standard of their models this year dipped quite a bit: they seem to be more shrivelled this year. Last year's motorshow had some very good looking and well-built guys at Audi but I heard quite a few of them left/got asked to leave etc..

Car show was reported on news. Said said went up 30%. I supposed they were comparing to sales without car show. But said as compared to last year motor show, sales dipped.

They are models? But i saw them attending to customers and inquiry on the cars? They seem quite knowledgeable on the different audi model? Why did audi hire so many good looking male models instead of the normal showgirl?

Yes, 1 car model will be assigned 1 or 2 male models, and these "model ambassadors" will be briefed extensively on that particular car they 're standing at. They can answer basic queries (e.g. horsepower/torque, features it comes with) but for pricing and discount structures they will have to refer the customer to a salesperson who will then try to close the deal. Hence they're not just a pretty face haha. Apparently Premium Automobiles are very strict about the guys being knowledgeable: I've a couple of friends there who told me that 2 of the guys who did the 2018 Motorshow had their contracts with PA terminated because they gave wrong information to customers.

This is as far as I know, lah. :)

As to why PA hires more male models than the females, I suppose you'll have to ask the marketing and communications manager Nian Tjoe. Might be his scope of work lol.

Nian Tjoe married? If not high chance gay, that's why he hires cutie models.

Giving wrong information to customers consider big mistake, confirmed must be terminated. Such mistake is not internally but made externally, cannot one. Now i know those "SE" at every year motorshow audi booth are models. No wonder they look so attractive, if one of them come to attend to me, i might ended up buy the car if i have the money. I saw one male model was explaining to a customer on one of the audi model, this make model not only look cute but can also see his hot toned bod under that white bowties shirt.

Thought hyundai elantra sell quite well?

The Avante has replaced the Elantra. The AD Elantra was the best-selling car of Singapore in 2018, and the Avante looks to repeat that success. However I think Kia has some very good deals during this Motorshow (especially if you have a trade-in car where they give you an additional $2,000 rebate), plus their cars were priced quite right... hence them being one of the star performers this year.

I used to have a crush on Nian Tjoe when I was younger - he's actually a motoring journalist for Torque in his previous life before joining PA. I liked the wit in his writing, and he has brooding good looks too. I do bump into him sometimes (since we both work at Alexandra/Leng Kee) so can see he's aged a bit, lah. But still handsome for someone pushing 40 lol. as to whether he's married or not... is anyone's guess. Heard he's quite a private person in real life.

haha Honda salesman also known to be quite hao lian: if they "see you no up" they won't bother attending to you and God forbid you approach them because you might get a caustic answer. But I think it's in Kah Motor's culture, lah. The MD Ms Tan Kheng Hwee used to tell the sales team: "Honda is a brand that sells by itself. We don't need you to sell our cars so be thankful you have a job here." If the culture at the top is harsh naturally the frontline staff aren't very nice people after all haha.

yeah Honda cars are now way overpriced - they money you spend on a Jazz 1.5 can get you an Avante 'S' or Cerato EX. It's not entirely KM's fault either: the OMV of Honda cars are rather high. Guess the brand wants to market itself as a premium Japanese brand so the factory charges the dealers higher for the cars.

Honda also uses TAKATA brand OEM safety airbags , and I dont think they are taking it seriously enough to recall and replace the self exploding airbags that have self inflated midway while driving in a lot of cars causing fatalities and serious injuries to innocent car drivers.

Hondas airbags are ticking time bombs ?

Are sg hondas equipped with faulty Takata airbags?

Find elantra AD interior and exterior looks nicer than the current avante. But if the price is attractive and coe continue to drop, many people would buy avante.

Nian Tjoe is his 40s? Still consider not that old. If a person maintain well, even in 50s still look good.

If honda SE is hao lian, then toyota SE how? Heard so many stories that toyota SE very stuck up, because toyota cars sell well even it is overpriced.
