like kher I also had some fun with a massage therapist. I visited a reflexology centre and found out that they do back massages and had a male masseur. This is in a small town in malaysia. During the massage I found my hands near his thighs. He was standing at the head end of the table and my hands were there. Baiscally, I read the posts, both in our old homeland and this new habitat.

There are many people who unanimously raved on these 2 masseurs :

a) Eddie (Hougang)

2) Mr Tan (Lucky Chinatown)

I have been to Eddie and find that his massage is rather normal.

Yes, the ambience is beautiful and clean. But, he claimed that he is not so particular about the timing of this theraphy is which false.

He stopped my session at the struck of the clock. Which means, no allowances at all.

I am ok, but why promise cusotmers that there willl be slight extension to his package.

In this small circle, trustworthiness is the key determinant to success.

For Mr Tan, I think his shop is rather run-down and dity. Yes, no doors to safeguard ourselves from the walk-ins.

His rate is cheaper for sure. But do you know ? He has since raised his charges !

Well, if masseurs raise their prices, they are sending signals to us that its time to look for other masseurs who we have yet to try, but keen to do so.

I have had my fair share of the HML's masseurs, so here is is my first post-review, so bear with me. The following is a little summary for myself and hopefully it is useful to you guys. I don't talk about non-massage related stuffs. You catch the drift.

Nick (Clementi)

Massage Skill: Firm and rather strong for his build. Great acupressure. No complain really.

Communication Skill: Could be better, but I really don't mind communicating in Mandarin.

Ambiance: Massage room is the master bedroom. It was neat with a mounted flat screen (plasma?) constantly reflecting the going-ons, and it was quite sensual to say the least.

Etiquette: He talked about a few of his other clients, without mentioning their names, and their admiration of him and his skill.

Nic (Shunfu)

Massage Skill: Maybe I have expected too much prior to meeting him, the experience was totally disappointing. Among the few displeasures, he claimed to be massaging my acupoints but at some points, it was merely rubbing.

Communication Skill: He talked fine, eg on his preference on the slightly mature clients, meaning me. Maybe he sensed my not liking the whole "ordeal" he sort of stopped talking after a while. That means he has reasonably good communication skill.

Ambiance: Room was neat, but mattress was a little soiled.

Etiquette: The session was cut short because of a "last minute" appointment, he said. Since it didn't enjoy it, I didn't feel shortchanged one bit even as I was asked to pay the full rate.

Mario (Bugis)

Skill: Firm and always hit the right spots.

Communication Skill: A generally quiet guy, his few words are sincere and concise.

Ambiance: Love the room. Meticulously arranged and spotless. The cosiness almost always relaxes me immediately.

Etiquette: After my first session at Mario's, I tipped him some to show my appreciation. The second time round, he totally extended the session and didn't allow me to pay for the extra attention. That is class act.

Paul (Bedok)

Skill: Years of experience definitely show. Even, Firm, His kneadings are among the best in the market.

Communication Skill: He reminded me to park my car at the right carpark prior to my second session with him.

Ambiance: Reasonably OK.

Etiquette: He never rushed the sessions and never asked anything personal.

Eddie Massage is considered to be 'light in his strength' and I am looking at other heavier strokes.

Also, can I know whether there is it a norm you guys CANNOT bathe after Eddie's massage ?

After the clock struck the 70 min cut off time, he cut off the massage immediately. I was served tea and 'not allowed to shower' at his place /

You guys encounter the same thing ??

Well, I think 'Power Healing' at Lucky Chinatown is good. He is a man in his 50s and is very quiet when doing massages. But, he does NOT do any extras. So, pls do not try anythign funny.

As for the Hatyai Thai Massage behind Lucky Chintown, you're right ! Its those when you have a man holding on to placards and asking you to visit them upstairs.

There was once a man spoke to me in Japanese and asked if I want their massage. I replied I am a local.

He said... :' oh... okay. Singaporean is $65... Foreginers is $95"

I was so shocked and walked away !

After so much discussion in this forum, likely there must had some improvement either on their massage skill and treatment on customer. Care to share your experience on the RECENT encounter? Maybe within this 2 months of visit.

Actually, there's a good reason why people do that. First, the ground-floor shops are not available for businesses like massage and foot reflexology. In any case, they are prohibitively expensive. Second, customers will never venture on their own to the upper floors, so without a ground-floor shopfront, how is a massage parlour up there going to advertise its existence without such soft 'touting'?

Dats 4 thai massage, which is specialised, I suppose. Ordinary massage, some pretty acceptable and done by nice boys to boot, can still be found at those Teochew Meng, Yuya, Zin Yee, etc shops in People's Park Complex for $40/h or so.

I think your word 'not allowed' is really misleading, beside as long masseur massage duration is up to the timing you've requested, he's not in the wrong, for he did not 'short change' you in any way, he have the right 'not to extend' the timing. you have to understand Eddie have a day job to do and for what you know, he might have already massage 2 or 3 other persons before you and tired, at least I felt he's better then some masseur that do 'under the timing', don't you think so?

Totally agree with Honest & Fair. Eddie has been my regular therapist and consistant with more value added used of his quality products.

Most of the massuer advised not to shower after massage as it will open your pores. Wait at least 2 to 3 hours then shower lah. If you are not confortable with the oil then don't choose oil massage. Go somewhere that give massage without using oil.

wrt to ur comment about mr tan raising his charges, he increased them by a mere 5 dollars from 25 to 30 dollars for one full hour of massage. this is still way below what others r charging. mr tan is a reasonable man making a good honest living. leave him alone.

Strange.......Eddie treat me like King during my twice visited him.

I asked for 1 hour massage but extended to 1 1/2 hr without any extra charge and with happy ending some more.

For the shower, i shower twice before and after the massage and serve with nice tea and fruit. maybe you were not his cup of tea. that's why you didn't enjoyed the same as me.

eddie always like guys with fair skin, a bit chub but not fat and nice butt.

Experienced myself with Mr Ang (masseur in Ang Mo Kio)

Telling the Truth...My recent visit at his place.

Ang is a very nice & pleasant guy. His has a pleasant home & massage room (although its small).

What i do not like:

He talks alot, non stop! Even i ignored & did not reply to him, he still continued with his talking. That is really irritating! I am there to relax myself & not there to chat. I do not want to be rude by telling him off coz i thought by keeping myself quite, he will shut up... unfortunately he did not

Well, he did switch on his aircon & fan while massaging...but i thought its supposed to be air-conditioned? His air-con is so hot that he has to switch on the fan to cool us. I did tell him that i am feeling hot & why must he switch on aircon & fan? His replied was (politely)...we have to save energy & aircon at 25degree is just nice with a fan...Oh my, i just cannot believed it!! I realised that his sweat dripped on my back! I thought all masseurs wear their t-shirts while massaging? Can anyone feedback me on this matter pls. I felt very dirty & did tell him regarding about this...he apologised & kept on massaging without his t-shirt! :swear:

for raymond sim @ lucky chinatown, his massage is good but no hanky panky. for kim cheong, his massage is not bad too, no hanky panky but can touch him. for robert @ B1-xx, his massage is also good but abit costly, but he only give u happy ending by request. hehehe
