In fact the world is as superficial as we think. Nobody can keep up with the society without changing but it all depends changing for the better or the worse.
What KS said has a point but came from the wrong direction for being crude. Changing for the better while retaining your sanity is tough work and KS has failed to retain his sanity when he changed which doesn't give him the role to be giving advise.
Well, I don't know the other side of the story if FC just couldn't do anything for himself which made KS loses his patience over him. It will makes sense if it true.
For FC, he has to get up and make improvement for himself, not for anyone but himself. Whats likable about him is his graciousness and he shouldn't change that but having that good trait doesn't bring him anywhere near to what he really wants to achieve in life, he has to make changes to other part of him to become even better.
If FC is able to do it and learn from the process correctly, I'm sure FC will definitely be a better person than KS. Just don't be like KS, it so wrong to push others to change in the wrong way.
Society is superficial, yes, but no matter how good you are its all about yourself nobody gives a damn but people give a damn if you are not good and this will never change.
Never stop learning and improve until you die. Set a good example for others to follow.
