You're going to kill me for saying this again, but truer words have never been spoken  :D  :thumb:

Even the most anti-PAP person will agree that there is no perfect opposition party that he can agree with 100%.

Often, just the presence of an opposition party is enough to keep the ruling party in check.

Not sure why don't open the two casinos which is the golden hen laying golden eggs for SG,  social distancing and wearing mask can be easily practiced.

TBH, most sporean do not want the opposition party taking over but what we need is the percentage to increase to say 45%, perhaps then someone will be forced to have more hindsight, common sense with a less defensive and arrogant attitude.

I think u guys got misunderstanding of new rules, u must read the small print, don't jump on conclusion:

The Phase 2 allow for

Phase Two will see the resumption of most activities, subject to the following safe distancing principles:

  a.  As a default, measures should be put in place to ensure that individuals maintain safe distancing of at least one metre at all times.

Those guys who think can have orgy... Please invite me as I want to watch u having orgy with 1m distance in between at all time.

for those wanting cruise at swimming pool:

don't forget to keep distance of 1m. U can watch the other guy at open shower (if still got), but must keep distance at all time!

have fun guys in phase 2.😆

So I wasn't too wrong at my initial post. The broad new regulation up to now confusing:

But even home visit must wear mask and 1 m distance !

Got one sis in law dun like u then call police or video shot on reddit. LOL

Out today from Strait Times:

askST: Must visitors to homes wear masks? Are staycations allowed in phase 2?

Q: Must masks be worn indoors, especially when visiting another person's home?

A: The Health Ministry said that household visitors are strongly encouraged to observe safe management principles, including wearing a mask, keeping a safe distance of at least 1m, minimising physical contact and washing hands regularly.

People should not be visiting others if they are unwell.

Masks must still be worn when outside homes.

Q: Are freelance cleaners, private dining at homes and home salons allowed?

A: Yes, such home-based services are allowed by, for instance, repairmen fixing water pipes, electricity, cable or air-conditioning problems; part-time cleaners, gardeners, tuition teachers; and day-time nannies.

Homes offering services such as private dining, hairdressing or tuition can receive up to five visitors at any one time.

Those providing services should wear masks and keep the 1m safe distancing.

As these services involve customers visiting for a prolonged period of time, the SafeEntry check-in system must be used.

Q: Must masks be worn at food and beverage outlets? How about at gyms, fitness studios, beaches and playgrounds?

A: As masks must be worn outside homes, they must be worn at all these venues.

This also applies to workplaces, from front-line staff such as food handlers, cashiers and bus drivers, to workers in offices such as pay-roll executives and data entry personnel.

Masks should be removed only when engaging in strenuous activity, and promptly put back on after.

They can also be removed when eating or drinking.

Q: Do children under 12 need to wear masks or face shields while playing in playgrounds in Housing Board estates?

A: Masks must be worn outside homes. Children aged 12 and below who may have difficulty wearing and keeping face masks on for a prolonged period can use face shields instead.

A face shield must be worn properly such that it covers the entire face, from the forehead to below the chin, wrapping around both sides of the face.

Q: Are staycations allowed in phase two?

A: Staycations are currently not allowed.

To avoid creating confusion, hotels are advised not to promote staycation packages for now.

The Singapore Tourism Board will advise on when staycations can resume.

Residents whose homes are not available due to renovations or who do not have a current place of residence for various reasons can still book hotel stays.

The same goes for healthcare workers who wish to isolate themselves from family members living in the same house.

Q: If a household already has five members, can another five visitors go over as the total number of people in the gathering will exceed five?

A: In homes, households may receive up to five visitors at any one time, regardless of the number of people already in the household.

Q: Can a family of seven from the same household dine together in a restaurant?

A: All diners, even those from the same household, should be in groups of no more than five at F&B outlets.

Ha ha. grandpa and grandma must eat at home... ha ha

Looking at current situation, it is quite difficult to have more opposition parties MPs. Looks like ruling party might have high chance of winning in high percentage.

Could you please elaborate to all of us here , how any foreigners in Singapore benefited from the Government grants in Singapore, if there was not any single grant issued to any foreigner by the Government? Please tell us how Foreigners benefited from the these billions spent by the Government?

You mean the foreigners benefit from the nicely asphalted roads, pruned trees in Singapore or the happy faces of local bus drivers on public transport smiling after they received the Covid19 600 S$ payout on their bank account?

Please elaborate where any Foreigners benefited from the Covid 19 budget payments???

Jobs Support Scheme [Enhanced]

The Jobs Support Scheme (JSS) will help enterprises retain their local employees (Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents)1 during this period of economic uncertainty.

The government will co-fund the first $4,600 of gross monthly wages (includes employee CPF contributions but excludes employer CPF contributions) to each local employee for nine months. There are three levels of co-funding for employers in different sectors, as shown in the table below.

In addition, wage support for the months of April and May 2020 will be topped up to 75% for all sectors to support firms during the ‘circuit breaker’ period.

Please refrain from alluding, except for Permanent Residents (who did not even receive the 600 payout and for whom the benefits went to the local Employer through JSS and not to the person directly) any benefits were given to Foreigners by the Singapore government on the Covid 19 additional Budget grants etc.

This is clearly false!

Yes, there were surely a lot of SPGs there also, with their ang moh boyfriends. Where ang mohs gather in S'pore, the SPGs won't be far away.

Pity the Indian couple who had their favourite Indian restaurant be forced to close by these irresponsible ang mohs and their SPG parasites.

It's ironic that this being an Indian restaurant and they are the only Indians in the photo.

Disappointed as in "disappointed that today's number 218 is high compared to 142 (could be lower)" or "disappointed that the number 218 is NOT high enough compared to 142 (the higher the better)"?

Thanks for pointing out that this fingerpointing at Ang Mohs is silly. As if Singaporeans are all staying at home and innocent. Please follow the newspapers. 80% or more of the rule breachers were Singaporeans.

And don't forget without the expat patrons at those overpriced bars and restaurants many locals wouldn't have jobs and local owners no income. Holland V would be as dead as Yee Tee or Sengkang after 8pm.

By the way, a lot of ang mohs in S'pore are here to steal Singaporeans' jobs, and also to steal the local girls from our straight brothers.

Yet you believe every ang moh in S'pore to be so noble and virtuous.

You need to "wake up your idea", as they say in the SAF.

I am not defending our fellow Singaporeans.

Referring to this British Indian curry case:

Sorry to say, the asians (so-called mentioned as “Indians”, “Chinese” etc.) whom you see in the picture ... nowhere is it mentioned that they are our fellow Singaporeans. I read the media reports on this case, I cannot find this information leh ...

They could be the PRs, asians from overseas etc. Black hair and Asian face in Singapore does not mean 100% Singaporean leh ....

Yes, I agree some of our fellow Singaporeans are flouting the safety rules in other places (e.g. heartlands). Election time coming, so must use the word “fellow” ... 😀

Guest serious question

What's the difference between meeting up for hook up (everything off) vs meeting friends to dine outside (mask off)?

If I wear mask during sex and ensure no kissing, does it reduce the risk of contacting Covid?

Does Covid spread through oral sex?
