lol because the drama got in trouble for its underlying gay content. mediacorp had to apologise. like that confirm cannot be nominated for best drama.. and confirm wont rerun on local tv alr, unless they cut that part out.

Like Kym Ng in 2018 when she won best supporting actress and her final top 10. so felicia really high chance.

 

Based on performance wise, I don't see how Felicia should win because even comparing within that show, Rebecca's performance was much better. Carrie Wong I agree she stands no chance, if she wins it's really wrong especially given this year's crop. Kym and Zoe's characters are nothing special, but wouldn't be surprised if they actually give Kym though. Compared across category, I think it could go any way between Chen Liping, Rebecca and Rui En, I do believe their performances are worthy, so it just depends on what the judges are looking for this year.

 

I think you're right about the stats. Are Rebecca and Rui En good enough to join the ranks of the 3-time winners? Hmmm debatable. CLP is good but better than Ivy Lee / HBR? Also debatable. Throughout her career, CLP has delivered great performances in a wide variety of roles. 

Like Huang Biren, CLP became an A-Lister because people like watching her performances. She certainly didn't become popular because of her looks.

 

Even those people who constantly bash Mediacorp shows and say they 20 years never watch Ch8 will also concede that CLP is a good actress.

 

When compared to HK/Taiwanese actress her age, she is definitely among the best and on par with actresses like Sheren Tang and better than Ada Choi or Jessica Hsuan.

She is not 100kg, and even if she is, so what. And it’s not by choice as she suffers from a disease half her acting life. So don’t need to body shame her behind the keyboard. 

Zoe Tay has peaked long ago, and there’s nothing more she can do that will impress audiences. Don’t need to attack her anymore as well.

Totally agreed with you. CHW had been winning best actor awards for many times and we really hope that they will give this award to someone else even though he is indeed good in his acting where all of us can't deny.

i think all artistes will do that. their artiste managers will probably push them to do that too. but doesn’t mean she is yearning for the award. you can tell Paige is generally quite a laid back artiste. fortunately i think she is quite well liked and her performance in many roles was not bad.
