Me around 10 to 15mins of home exercise during weekdays and during weekends go run with my group of friends around 5km to 10km. I dont gym. To me a good nutritional diet is much more important than exercise but we do still need some exercise

Before the coronavirus pandemic, I regularlyย worked out four days perย week, unless I had overseasย work assignments orย was on vacation (inย which case I still usually foundย ways to hit the gym at least twice perย week).

ย

The plague era got me back into jogging four days perย week, to partially offset the periods of lacking gym access, but the effectย was not good enough for me. I have been trying to get back to four days per week since last summer, but due to a heavyย workload and often feeling very tired, I'm lucky if I make it to the gym three times perย week. Very frustrating and below my standards.

ย

My goal is to get back to four days perย week fromย what Iย would say right now is an average of five days every twoย weeks (three days oneย week, followed by two days the secondย week, or something along those lines).

I go for brisk walk or jogging around 30 mins to an hour almost as many times per week if i can find time. Will it be too much?

I used to do cardio only โ€” long swims, bike, run โ€” because I was an active triathlete when I could afford the time to trainย

ย

Now, no matter the distance, I no longer burn as much fatย

ย

I know the science behind it โ€” we have to build muscle to boost shedding of weight so these days, I dedicate 5 days a week to do intensive 30 min runs (sometimes at tempo pace, sometimes fartlek), followed by gym work + at least 15min of intensive abs workoutย

ย

I think it works but the rate of body transformation is slower than when I was in my 30s

Building muscle is good when you are getting older, to stronger our bones. No need to gym until muscular bod but at least carry some weights. That's why i try to go to gym at least 2-3 times per week to strengthen my muscle, even though i hate going to gym.
