Do you weigh yourself daily?

I do that everyday in the morning before any intake of food. If the scale increases I decrease my food intake the next day.

I feel fat even though my bmi is below 20. Which is normal range. There are areas I want to lose fats. Have a slight tummy. Doing workout 15min a day but not consistently everyday 😂 Trying to make it a daily thgy. Wonder if it helps. But feel like it is insignificant.

My belt will tell me whether I am growing fat or not!!! LOL Luckily, I am able to loop the belt 1 and half round now (the same belt I using since 2years ago, 1 round🫣

I'm 65 now and all my life, my weight has behaved like a piano accordion.

When it gets out of hand I need to push it back in again with a fitness campaign.

I can testify that it is far more fun putting weight on...... compared to trying to get rid of it.

I'm thinking that if I'd been as diligent as the TS, I would have not needed fat clothes.

Once the pointer at weight scale hangs stuck at the right side after the number 150 and won't move to zero any longer...

That’s a great, no-nonsense way to track progress, no scale needed! 😄 Going from 1 round to 1.5 rounds with the same belt is a clear sign you're getting leaner. Sounds like you're on a good trend. Keep it up!

Psychologically,  I feel I am fat when I don't do any exercise and even though without doing any exercise I am still lean.  So my mind is controlling how i feel, nothing to do with the physical side of me.

You’ve put your finger on something very real: the feeling of being “fat” isn’t always about body fat at all. Psychologically, exercise often functions as a proxy for self-control, productivity, or worthiness. When you skip it, your mind may translate that into “I’m being lazy / out of control” , and your brain maps that feeling onto your body image, even if your body hasn’t changed.

This is a known phenomenon, sometimes called “phantom fat” or more broadly, a disconnect between perceptual and emotional body image. Your mind is using behavior (exercise) as evidence for how you should feel about your body, overriding visual and tactile feedback that says you’re lean.

A few key insights:

1. Exercise as moral action ,  Many of us learn that exercise is “good” and “disciplined.” Not exercising can feel shameful. That shame then attaches to the body, not the behavior, as if the body itself is now “wrong.”

2. Emotional reasoning , Your brain says: “I feel fat → therefore I am fat,” even when the scale/mirror disagree. “Fat” here is a feeling state (often meaning sluggish, guilty, or unworthy), not a physical description.

3. Body image is mostly mental - Studies repeatedly show that body dissatisfaction correlates more strongly with mood, anxiety, and perfectionism than with actual body size.

What you’re experiencing doesn’t mean you’re irrational ,  it means your internal logic is emotional, not physical. The solution isn’t to exercise more (though you can, if you want). Instead, it’s to separate the behavior from the identity:

· When you feel “fat” after not exercising, ask: “If I saw a friend being lean and skipping exercise, would I think they look fat?” Usually, no.

· Name the feeling accurately: “I’m not fat. I feel restless / undisciplined / sluggish.”

· Redefine exercise as something you do for energy or mood, not for permission to feel thin.

You’re right: your mind is controlling how you feel. That’s actually good news, because it means you can retrain that connection without needing to change your body at all.

I feel fat all the time after I eat.

Feeling "fat" after eating typically comes from temporary bloating or stomach stretching, not a real change in body fat. Naming the physical sensation like "full" or "bloated", helps separate digestive feelings from negative body image. If this happens after every meal, it may be worth checking for digestive issues or speaking with a therapist about body image patterns.

Feeling fat is that phantom sensation of being heavy, swollen, and out of control, even when logic says nothing has changed, a feeling you've never needed to learn because your body simply doesn't play those tricks on you.

The doctor’s comment about burning food 24/7, even asleep, is real. That's a fast resting metabolic rate. The downside? It can be genuinely hard to gain weight or build muscle, and you might feel low energy if you don’t eat enough.

No toxic positivity here,  it's frustrating to feel like your body won't change no matter what you do. If gaining some mass is your goal, you'd likely need to eat way more than feels natural (think calorie-dense foods: nuts, rice, protein shakes, oils) plus resistance training.

They will dissect me into zillion pcs to look for the "hidden" info.

As for me, human of earlier generation needed to hunt for food, many days of starvation (fasting).

I do intermittent fasting, not by choice... Lots of salad and fruits (maybe this is why my cum has fruity aroma. 😂😂😂💦💦💦)... Maybe, just maybe a lifestyle worth trying if you wanna manage body weight?

Now I'm confused. You eat a lot or don't eat a lot?

Or eat a lot some days but fast some days, so in the end it was balances out?

Usually ate a lot but when at work site, usually fast(only took water).

Sorry for confusion

Thanks for clarifying. So maybe it all balanced out or maybe even calorie deficit. So you maintain lean all the time. Nice!

That's a great way to look at it. When daily fluctuations balance out, or lean toward a slight deficit, maintaining a lean physique becomes much more sustainable without needing to obsess over every calorie. Sounds like you've found a solid, intuitive rhythm. Keep it up!

Small weight changes from day to day are normal, so it is usually better to focus on overall habits instead of daily numbers. Regular exercise and balanced eating tend to make a bigger difference over time, even if the workouts are short. Consistency is often more important than doing everything perfectly.

Have never been lean and I guess media depictions of fat and not fat has been quite distinct. So the idea of if I’m not lean or toned I must be fat is quite rooted even though I rationally know I’m average.
