Not mosquitoes but some kind of midges/sandflies which will bite near the exposed feet/ankle/lower leg area. After a day or two, the bite will turn super itchy and dark red, and will take a week or two to heal, leaving a black mark.

Please be a bit more discreet when you have your fun there, esp if it is during times where we can expect public (read: straight people) around. Was there couple of nights ago at 9-ish and saw 2 persons f***ing openly at the bench next to a lamppost (beside the pergola by the pond). And not just that, it was in full glory, complete with the piak-piak-piak sounds. Let’s not attract unwanted attentions by patrols etc or worst still, losing this place altogether.

Yes there are straight people using the park too, including women, late into the night. They will also walk/jog through the dark areas, so be wary of your surroundings.

Inside the dark roundabouts should be safe. So far I have only seen guys "jog" through the roundabouts, and it's pretty obvious they are here for something else as well 🤣 but straight people do jog around outside the roundabouts.
