member's price is  u have to sign up first for a credits of few hundreds like S$400 for first timer (only first timer visit ie in the past you have not come in with frens or guests before ) , thereafter ur mbr price will be S$68 something like that (that will be deducted from ur credits)

Cos I saw in May's posting that there's new rules in G.Spa to wear black shorts by default.

 

Anyway, I tried the Yang Zhou Body scrub at Royal Club Spa (think also known as Yihe?). 

If take the scrub plus using of facilities, seems to be cheaper than G.Spa. (I may be wrong)

But if use the facilities alone, it's much more expensive! 

Royal Club Spa only got one hot pool and one suana room. Can be naked in the room and pool. 

There's only have 4 dishes for meal, but delicious (at least to me). Got rice and Instant Noodle too. I also like their hot Ginger Tea! 

Not much crowd. So it's quite quiet and good to relax.

Ambience very China like, if it's ok with you. From pictures, G.Spa looks more modern (cos I haven't been to G.Spa yet).

yes Yihe is cheaper
but their food is just like home dishedout convenience food that tend to be more China type

and most importantly centrally located in the city , near Havelock MRT?

Quite near. Actually it's besides the Furama Riverfront hotel, near the carpark exit side. Think the building it's under Furama. Take lift up to 2nd floor.

For G.Spa, anyone tried their Shanghai scrub? Is it done in massage room? Or designated area like Royal Club? Must wear shorts during scrub? Or expect to be naked? 

 

For those curious in Royal Spa, staff is fully dressed. Just an area besides hot pool, semi opened cos only separated by a curtain. If you are naked, they will use a small towel to cover your private area when they scrub you. You can also wear their blue disposable shorts. No special service, as far as I experienced. Haha.

Well, finally went down Gspa. The hot and cold pool must wear their blue shorts.

At least that’s what the staff told me. Also, saw everyone resting at the side or in hot pool all wearing shorts. No one nude.

Shanghai back scrub can be nude though.

Hot pool temperature I find it ok, but the cold pool is too cold for me. Omg…
 

Like their food and resting lounge. Lounge very quiet and cozy. 
Food at GSpa are more local Singapore food, unlike Royal Club, more China taste cos their cook are from China.

If want 1-2 hours relaxation, I will prefer Royal Club that is quieter and enjoy the nude soak in hot pool and sauna. However some China customers really can talk loudly to each other in the hot pool despite such a small area. Can affect the mood if you just want to relax there. 

 

If got time for long hours relaxation, I will choose GSpa for their food and resting facilities. What I don't like is that need to change between brown shorts and shirts and to blue shorts, and also the slippers. Until now I still confuse the difference between their brown towel and white towel. More hygiene and more class at GSpa, I must say, but also a bit more troublesome for me. I think Yunomori got more soaking pools, and in nude, are better, but too much cruising people till sometimes can be a bit uncomfortable for me.

Maybe it differs from staff to staff, but when I've gone nude in GSpa, the staff hasn't stopped me. But it is true that there are signs saying the blue shorts should be worn in the pools. I will wear a towel, take the towel off to go in the pools, but keep the towel on in the sauna or steam room. Hasn't been a problem for me but maybe some staff members are stricter about it than others. There are times when I have been the only one nude but other times when there were also others going nude.

So is it because I went during the Straight peak hours of 5pm - 8pm? After work crowd nearby?

So mainly Straight uncles and couples? That's why everyone in blue shorts?

I didn't go into the sauna cos find it strange to see 2-3 people inside wrap with white towel, and standing instead of sitting. The room already small and yet stand around, not much space, so decided not to go in. Actually I expect to go in wearing blue shorts, but see all with wrapped with white towel instead. Confused. Haha. So ended up go lounge relax.   

 

Anyway, saw so many people sitting at the side of the pool using HP, and one even sit in the pool talking on the phone. Didn't feel safe to be nude too.

Spa1 and hotspa used to be like that. But really nobody cares. Even the staff say, nobody will care if you go nude.

 

They care more about if you make a mess, or if they have to do any extra cleaning. So maybe that's why they specify about the shorts?

(of course if other customers complain, that's also problems for them)

Some Gspa regulars told me before that the reason they wanted patrons to wear blue shorts is because some just soak in the pool after oil massage without taking shower, or soak in the pool with the lounge shorts (brown colour). There are people went in the pool nude when I visit (though rare) though. 
 

I usually wear a towel when walking around, taking off everything when I’m at sauna / steam room and covering my crotch with a small folded towel 😁

It's just an excuse that the staff tell the customers to discourage gay cruising or exhibitionism. How is the blue shorts supposed to stop the oil from contaminating the water? In the past, there used to be occasional crowds of gays who would drop by late at night together and lounge around without even wrapping with a towel, then the straights would have this buay song look and leave the wet area, probably to complain about mass gay orgies to the staff.
