So I have decided to pay a visit to the maze in JB today. Not knowing what to expect, I stepped in the compound with an apprehensive mind. The sauna is located on upper level of a shoplot, without any proper signages, first timers might have some difficulty trying to locate the shop. At the counter, I was asked if I want to sign up as a member. However, I was offered a free membership becoz of my age. Anyways, there were not many while I was ther about 5.30pm. The facilities included 2 computers, a LCD TV, free flow coffee and tea, dark steam room, the maze (cruising area) and a hydropool. My guess is that the shop has been operating since the ice age, the layout and design of the maze area is truly appalling, the dim lights coupled with the ancient wooden partition, made me felt as if I was trapped in one of the haunted houses. While I as there, the crowd was rather disappointing, mainly Indian with a few Chinese. No Malays were spotted possibly becoz today is first day of Ramadan. I quickly left after 1 hour plus, in disappointment. Overall not a fantastic experience, but a truly eye opening experience.
