HCMC seems quite restrictive when it comes to overnight stays of non registered (checked in) people. Certain hotels disallow over night visitors after 9.30/10pm - 7am or require you to register the person at the reception (often with an extra charge). If you want to be on the more safe side to bring guys or a massage boy into your room, better try the 5 star hotels instead of local brand of hotels.
